“Not a place for family”

The location is excellent but that's about all. The place is old. The elevator was out during my 4 day stay - no prob if you travel light. There was no hot water for 3 days. The room numbers are printed and taped to the door. There is no towel rack in the bathroom. Only consider it if you don't plan to do anymore than just getting some rest - poor rest at that. There is no sound insulation. I can hear every word of the phone conversation next door. I can hear people talking on street level while staying on the 3rd level. Continental breakfast include Costco OJ, coffee and some bread. Cannot even compare to most MOTEL 6s.

“no hot water”

No hot water or elevator. There was no air conditioning in the room. The toilet wouldn't stop flushing and when I called the front desk, they let themselves in to our room AS they knocked, not even giving me time to get to the door. The bathroom door wouldn't close. The room (even after an upgrade) was very small. However, the room was newly painted, the tiny, tiny bathroom had a nice new grey marble floor and the bed was very comfortable.

“Good for the price...”

I was on a tight budget and this hotel fit the bill. Not a luxurious place, but it had a bed, tv, and shower, so it was fine for me. I wouldn't recommend it as a vacation hotel, but I was down for a conference, so I spent very little time in the room.

“You get what you paid for”

I was going to the city on a last minute trip. Of the current hotels which were available, this was the cheapest. It is close to City Hall and in a central location. The elevator was broken and the shower was extremely sub-par.

“Worst experience”

It was the worst experience for me in the last 1 year's more than 12 visits to San Francisco. The hotel was under renovation and still they were accepting bookings. The entrance lobby was pathetic. On 2nd day teh upstairs room toilet started leaking in teh lobby and we were ashamed to be staying in such a horrible place. On the first day itself if I had not been suffering from travel fatigue(having started my day at Ny at 4.oo in the morning )I would have switched to other hotel. The surrounding area is totally lonely after 7.00 in the eve. Only homeless vagabonds roaming the street outside. The room became freezing cold in the night. Next day the manager gave extra blankets to me. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Horrible Hotel”

The worst experience I have ever had while staying in a hotel. The hotel was dirty, the service was horrible, and it is in a very unsafe part of San Francisco. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. It should be shut down it is so bad. For all the women considering this hotel, stop yourself now. It is in an extremely dangerous place in San Francisco. The window locks did not work, and I honestly did not trust the door either.

“I'd rather sleep on the streets”

Pay the extra money and stay at a decent hotel. Our windows would not close, so it was freezing. Our bathtub was clogged so we couldn't take showers. There was hair all over the shower stall so it was clear they had not been cleaned. The lock on the door was held together by... glue? When we brought up these concerns as we were going out for the day, the manager told us we would either be given a new room or our current room would be cleaned. When we returned, neither of these things happened, so my wife had to go to a creepy room on the sixth floor (past 4 floors of construction) to take a shower. It was so creepy she wanted me to stay with her, so I sat at the door and made sure creepy construction workers did not walk in on my wife. For goodness sakes', sleep in your car before you sleep in this hotel.

“Would never stay there again.”

The hotel was worn out looking on the inside. I was in town for a meeting & the room did not even have an iron for my clothes...not in the room, not at the front desk; no iron and ironing board in the entire hotel. The so called "breakfast" was nothing more than bread, packets of jelly & butter, a toaster, orange juice and coffee. No fruit, not pastries...just plain white bread. The elevator didn't work & my room only had one electrical outlet that was functual. So in order to plug in my lap top & phone charger, I would have to unplug the room clock & night stand light.

“A BAD EXPERIENCE”

The room was dirty, toilet did not work and the towels were unclean. No parking and I was asked to pay $ 27.00 dollars per night for parking (extra). I told the staff that I could not have my family staying there.
