“Very Nice place”

We had four adults & two children in our Villa. We loved the way the bedrooms were closed off on different sides of the villa. The few issues we had were calling up to the front desk & Guest services. We had to call about 4 times before they answered & left a message to get more towels with guest service.People below us complained at 11:45 am & said there were a lot of kids running in our Villa.Security came to our door we were VERY surprised! We had only one 1 year old boy who was awake at the time & he was NOT running around he was playing with his toys watching tv & wasn't loud because our son was still asleep. My friend told the security officer to come in and see where his son was playing and he noticed there was no problem but he said well maybe you should take the boy to the pool so the people won't complain!!We couldn't believe he suggested that when he said he didn't understand why they would complain. He just said there were a lot of older people that stay there & complain about anything & everything. But to me he shouldn't have suggested us going to the pool! For goodness sakes it was 11:30 am!so that situation rubbed us the wrong way to throw your own trash away in designated trash bins that were not in walking distance! We also thought they would come and clean our villa daily but they do not, they clean it after you leave unlike other resorts & hotels.

“Memorable time”

Used as family getaway and found something for everyone. Variety of scenic golf was good (short exec. course for kids as well as longer course), wide variety of affordable activities including: fitness, crafts, fishing, walking, biking, pool, ping pong, foosball, etc. Swimming pools were enjoyable, though the main waterslide one was a bit crowded over the busy Memorial Day Weekend when we were there. Comfortable and functionally designed villa with all the necessities. Great trip, we'll go again and recommend.

“Gorgeous Villa style Timeshare setup”

Great rooms. 6 or 7 pools Tennis, Golf, Billards and continous organized activities. Villas are well appointed and away from the activities so if you just want peace and quiet it works too. Full Kitchens and Laundry in villas. Huge living areas and Balconys. Great veiws of the mountains. We lucked into this place by chance and only regret that we didn't find it sooner. Less than 1/2 hr to beach or Downtown S.D. Gated with 24hr patrol

“9/10 Stars - Extremely Family Friendly - Toddler Friendly”

I can not say enough positive things about this hotel. My family (spouse and 2 preschoolers) and spouses's family (married couple with 3 children 12mos-12 years) stayed for two nights. We selected a 2 bedroom Villa (which are huge) and fully equipped for families. The center has four different receration areas on-site (Each with own pool). It also features a water slide, child wading pool, and child water play area. It was amazing in all respects. Top Dollar (not inexpesive hotel) but well worth the money. Beautiful views.

“stayed one week but could of stayed 2”

there is so much to do at the welk resort a week is barely enough time. with our 2 young boys we fished, played ping pong, pool, foosball, video games etc. i got in 2 rounds of golf( right on the premises) while my wife did some nearby shopping.all 6 swimming pools are fantastic and the waterslide is great for the kids.there is family movie nights, all kinds of arts and crafts classes, and ice cream sundae parties everyday. all san diego attractions are within 1/2 hour from the resort. we are so impressed with the resort we are considering in investing in a timeshare there.if you do go, take the timeshare tour. even if you don't buy you get great gifts from the resort. we got $75 in free food from the resteraunt at the resort. i highly recommend this place

“Can't wait to return!!”

We stayed at the Welk Resort for 2 nights on New Years Eve weekend! It was great!! The room was much bigger than we expected and the view off of our balcony was great!! It was very quiet! We ate at the Canyon Grill, it was a little expensive for the quantity of food, but it was good!! We will definately go back once it gets warmer so we can enjoy the pools!

“Great Place to stay”

We usually don't submit reviews on hotels or resorts, but this is a great place to stay. We have 3 kids and big units allow everyone to have their space. Beautiful landscaping and fabulous weather of course. We should have stayed longer. We spent most days at theme parks in the area, and it is about 35 minutes from San Diego attractions and about 1 hour from LA attractions, so a good compromise.
