“Excellent value in the San Diego area”

This hotel is a great value. It's not new, but it's extremely well kept and very clean. The room we were given was very large and everything worked. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast was good. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

Service was great and room was very clean. No complaints whatsoever. Supermarket and restaurants were walking distance from the hotel.

I go to San Diego several times per year. I stay at this hotel each and every time. They have great prices, great amenities, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

“Will Stay Here Again!”

I typically stay at another hotel while visiting family in La Mesa but decided to stay at Travelodge after reading its reviews. Comments about the staff are correct--they are very friendly! I had a nice chat with the desk clerk while checking in and enjoyed the small complimentary snack basket in my room. I didn't take advantage of the free breakfast but did notice the small dining area was busy each morning. The comments about parking are true (although there is street parking) and I can understand why the hotel asks their guests to re-park their car. I couldn't fit into a spot because another guest had parked at an angle. It was raining and I wanted to park under the covering but had to find another spot. Not a big deal but I did chuckle after reading comments about the guest being asked to move their car. One item to note is getting into the hotel as it is on the south side of a divided road. I was driving West and had to go .3 miles before being able to make a U-Turn and go East in order to get to the entrance of the hotel. The only eating establishment close by that I noticed was a small family run Mexican restaurant next door.

“Nice, but too loud”

Very safe for single female. Room was comfortable and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Close to restaurants. Parking was too cramped. Could hear every noise in the hallway, children playing in uncarpeted hallway in the a.m. Not thinking of staying again because of the sleep interuptions.

evreything was great near the things that we wanted to do and see -9miles from san diego sights and 11 miles from seaworld the only thing that we incounted was a snobby day mgr it was like we were bothering him but all the other staff went out of there way to make our stay as pleasent as it could be i will stay there again i just hope the day mgr gets his act to geather

“Pleasantly Surprised”

I didn't want to stay at "Hotel Circle" because of the higher rates. This hotel was just 10 minutes Northeast and at a fraction of the cost. Everything was great. After a long flight from CT and renting a car at Hertz, we received a quick check-in, and a nice snack was waiting in our room. There was a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, coffee maker and refrigerator too. The continental breakfast was more than adequate. Very pleasant front desk; in addition to printing out direction to numerous restaurants and tourist attractions, they even printed our Southwest Boarding Passes for the return flight (got us "A" seating)! The rooms were very quiet, excellent beds and air-conditioning. There were several children staying at the hotel, but we never heard them while in our rooms. From this hotel, you are never further than 30 minutes from the airport, zoo, downtown or shopping malls. If you don't mind staying 10 minutes further away, you can't pass this one up. Will definitely return.

“Surprisingly nice!”

I was enormously impressed--surprised, really--that the Travelodge in La Mesa was so good. Friendly, helpful staff, very nice rooms with touches usually found at more expensive hotels. I plan to go back next time I'm in the area.

We were very satisfied with our stay. The hotel was nicely updated and the staff was nice. The continental breakfast was very limited, but that's what a continental breakfast is so it was fine. They really care about noise control There were signs posted throughout to remind you to be respectful. We arrived at 830 at night and they didn't screw up our beds so that was exciting. The room was huge. I have stayed at more expensive hotels half the size and on busier streets. I will definitely stay here again with my family.

“Highly recommend!”

I read reviews for weeks and finally decided on the Travelodge LaMesa. The hotel was great!!! The employees went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Everytime we entered the lobby they asked how our stay was going and if we needed anything. Our room was very clean and had a micro, fridge, and sink!This was great for our budget and more that I was expecting. Would stay there again!!!
