“For the money... quite good!”

I recently re-relocated to San Diego and while waiting for my new apartment to be ready, I stayed in the Travelodge for a few reasons. The price was right, they weren't too far from the Trolley (under a mile) and they take pets! The maid service was helpful and friendly. After a few days in their hotel they knew me by name, knew that my cat was scared of the vacuum cleaner, knew that I would need fresh towels and refills for the coffee and the related accoutrements. What I didn't like was the run down AC units, and the low-quality soaps they use. Also, my room only had a stand up shower... and sometimes I like baths. All in all, I'd stay there again.

“Clean and quiet, but far from San Diego”

I would recommend this hotel. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I would recommend that travels using this hotel have a car. I relied on public transportation and the distance from San Diego made travel time exceed two hours.

“Very nice and helpful owners”

We stayed during the week of Comic.Con and all the rooms were packed, but it was still quiet and nice. This Motel is only a 1/2 mile from the tram line, you could walk if need be. The tram was also clean and safe. It runs until midnight and there are helpful police officers on every platform. We also went to a great middle eastern restaurant which is right next door to the motel, the food is really good!! Overall our stay was very pleasant.

“Not impressed will not return”

When we walked into our room our drapes were pulled open and had a view of a very dirty brick wall. It is an older hotel, the carpet worn and chairs were dirty. The bed was comfortable, bathroom small, but fresh towels were replaced daily. Very small breakfast area offering cereal, donuts, coffee & juice. Management was very polite, but rooms could use some remodling.

“Review”

Bad: Check-in staff were not that friendly. Went down to get some "breakfast" but everything was put away early and the selection was pretty lame. We arrived late so parking lot was full and had to park on the street one of the nights. Not that nice of an area. Good: Fairly comfortable and decently priced for what you get. Room was clean and no surprises. Had a/c and thick curtains to keep the sun out.

“Close to Down Town”

This hotel was very close to where I was going. The rooms are in need of some remodling, but they were quite.

“Old facility”

I somehow got a smoking room and they weren't able to move me. The place was ok and is under new management so it may get better with time.

“not impressed”

i was told i would accomodate 5 people but room was very small, no space between beds, had to remove table and chairs to make a space for my son to sleep on the floor, on the second day of our stay the carplet was shampooed and even we got to the hotel late at night it was still wet had to place plastic bags under blankets... air conditioning wasnt working properly, there wasnt enough parking spaces and we had to park down the street at a restaurant's parking lot

“I will not go back there!”

The room was very small and not so clean. The carpet had dark marks, the bed sheets had few holes, bathroom was minuscule, with no bathtub, just a small square space for shower. For the same price, I stayed in LA and Solvang hotels that were much better and cleaner.

“would do in a pinch”

It was ok for my needs on this trip and if it wasn't for the little roaches I found on the carpet it would have been ok. The location was ideal for my needs, central to my families' locations and the price range worked for my budget.I will search for a different hotel for my Jan. 09 trip. The place seemed booked for most of my 5 day stay.
