“DEFINATELY WILL RETURN!!”

This hotel was so much more than we expected. The complementary drink upon arrival, the location on the boardwalk was perfect, and watching the surfers, seals and dolphins right from our balcolny was a dream come true. We are already planning another trip for next year. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND IT!

“Best in Pacific Beach!”

The hotel is the chic'est in the area! We had an ocean view and loved the sound of the waves and the cool breeze. This is not a family friendly hotel but the surrounding area offers plenty for familys to do. The rooms are small but very well designed. The beds are comfortable and cozy. We did not eat at JRDN but did order off the menu on the 2nd floor patio. Prices were as expected and the food was very well done. We stayed here over a Saturday night wedding reception on the first floor terrace/wine room. It was lound but stopped by a reasonable hour.

“Definitely recommend this modern Pacific Beach Ocean Front Hotel”

Location, convenience, boardwalk, ocean front, great restaurant on property, local shopping, surf shops, easy to get to all San Diego destinations from this pristine botique hotel property with west coast flare. Definitely recommend!

Area recommendations
Pacific Beach, Mission Bay, La Jolla Shores, Del Mar are all great destination beaches with unique signatures.

“Loved Tower 23”

I was happy with this hotel from the moment I walked into the lobby. It had a relaxing, modern feel, with its crisp white decor, blue wave accents, & soothing music. The room was comfortable, clean, & had a nice view of PB. I loved watching the surfers from my balcony every morning. The location was great...right on the beach, near the pier (great for sunsets, fishing, & surfer-watching), and right by Kono's (a Must! for breakfast or lunch). The hotel also provided a great view from their rooftop lounge area, complete with firepit for cool evenings. But the best part of this hotel would have to be the top-notch service. From the moment I arrived the staff was amazing. Always going above & beyond to make the stay a memorable one. The only minor issues...odd bathroom door doesn't completely close; JRDN is a bit noisy in evenings, but usu quiet by 12; beach has lots of seaweed (but, hey it's a beach). This is a fabulous hotel in a great location!

Area recommendations
The PB area had relaxed, neighborhood feel, nice beach, good surf, lots of surfers. Lots of restaurants (Kono's is #1 pick- great food, good price; my favorite place!; Fatfish - good food, great service, mostly). The Bus30 is right behind the hotel- it'll take you to Old Town or north to La Jolla. It's worth the trip to La Jolla to see the seals. Go to the SanDiego Zoo - it was amazing! I wish we'd had time to see more of Balboa Park.
Dining
Go to Kono's! The breakfast is amazing & I'm not a breakfast food person. Bacon & eggs, Kono potatoes, English muffins, pancakes...all great! But make sure you go hungry because the portions are not small. If you're there around lunch, they have great burgers. There will probably be a long line, but don't worry, it moves pretty fast. Fatfish has good food as well & great service.

“Amazing beachfront hotel experience!!”

Tower 23 is literally steps away from the beach, boardwalk, and pier at Pacific Beach. Our room ( a sky pad) looked out over the ocean and was amazing. The hotel staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The hotel is also within walking distance to many local eateries with excellent food. All in all, this was one of the best hotels we've stayed at and I can't wait to stay there again!!

Area recommendations
Pacific Beach area is an excellent location to visit. It appears to cater to families and the younger college crowd, which means that food prices are more affordable and there is excellent variety. The beach here is clean, well patrolled, and safe both day and night.
Dining
Try the Sweet & Savory Cafe (4614 Mission Blvd, between Felspar St & Emerald Ct) for breakfast. They have amazing pancakes (my favorite were chocolate chip banana) and affordable prices.

“Tower23”

The hotel decor was very modern and soothing. Staff was very courteous and attentive. It was nice to have a good restaurant in the same building. The noise from the ocean boardwalk was bothersome and a loud band playing next door bothered us one Friday night. The hotel and restaurant staff are all young and eager to please but their inexperience shows. The valet service was fast and courteous.

Area recommendations
Pacific Beach because it is a beautiful setting and there are lots of places to eat and things to do nearby.

“Fabulous!!”

Stayed there with my family including my wife and myself and our twin 5 year olds. Here is our experience. Staff: The staff there is extremely friendly and willing to accommodate you with whatever you need. Tatyana (I'm sorry if I got the spelling wrong) was the greatest. She greeted us every single morning when we left and when we came back to the hotel in the afternoon. If you need advice on where to eat around the area or directions to a local attraction, she is your lady. Restaurant: JRDN is an incredible restaurant with great food no matter what age you are. The steaks were all cooked to perfection and they have a plethora of sauces to choose from to dip your steak in....yummy! View: We got the full ocean view and it was incredible to say the least. Even if you get the partial ocean view, it it still fabulous. You overlook the boardwalk on the beachside of the hotel and the common area with the sand fire-pit that has couches circling around it, this is also a full-service area so you can eat up there and enjoy the view if you want : ) Beach: Fine sugary sand beaches line the whole property, just dodge the seaweed. They have crews that come out early morning or late evening that clean up the seaweed so it doesn't build up. It's not like it overtakes the whole beach, just enough to where if it were left for a week, it would be an issue. Waves are perfect size to go swimming till about 75 ft. or so then the waves become larger and you might eat a surfboard

“Tower of Pleasure”

Tower 23 sits right off the beach of Pacific Beach. This small, modern hotel caters to a younger (25-35) crowd, but all would feel welcome. My wife and I brought our 24 year old daughter, and we all had an excellant experience. I do not think this would be as fun with young children. Having just come from a Hyatt in LA, we were at first a little suprise of the small scale of the hotel, but were quickly rewarded with exceptional service from start to finish. We did have an issue with the air conditioning, but the staff quickly offered to move us to different room. They also offered a better room at a discount. The problem was fixed, and we stayed in our room, and totally enjoyed our stay. The food and service blew away the Hyatt! The unique design of the rooms, the beautiful views from the hotel, the quality of the food, and the friendly service makes this a fanatastic option to visit San Diego!

Area recommendations
From Pacific Beach through La Jolla, there were several different types of vacations. Long walks on along the ocean on the concrete walkway, puts you right in all the action on Mission Beach and Pacific Beach. A short drive to La Jolla, and the Sea Lion beach give you breathtaking views of the ocean off the rock formations. A must see!!

“Excellent Weekend Getaway”

Great place to have accidentally ran into while heading down the coast. We never even left the hotel.....food was great and as well as the view.
