Nice hotel in a great location. Close to shopping and restaurants. Easy to get to more shopping and attractions by walking or transit. Staff helpful in what to see and do and how to get there.

“The Perfect Location”

Despite the renovations occurring in the lobby, our stay was really enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful all day and all night. The 3rd floor patio was really relaxing as well and a great place to get some sun. The best thing about this hotel though is its location...in the heart of all the action being the Gaslamp Quarter and minutes to anywhere else. It was perfect!

Great location. Close to everything you need, including bustops to the Zoo, and Belmont Park. Staff was very helpful and polite. Rooms newly renovated and clean.

“Exceptional Stay, Great location in San Diego”

I love this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the service was excellent. I must admit I don't usually pick higher end hotels as I don't spend much time in the room when I'm on vacation but I treated myself for my birthday. The Westin was an excellent choice. I arrived at about 1:00 pm and was able to check in right away. The room was beautiful and those "heavenly beds" - oh, my, they are a treat. There was a bar sink and fridge and coffee maker and a good sized desk. And a safe which I do like to have. The pool area was private and had good seating around it so even if you're not swimming, it's a nice place to relax. The concierge was very helpful with tourist and transportation information. The hotel is right beside a large outdoor shopping centre and the Gaslamp district which is full of restaurants, bars and shops. Many restaurants had live music every night and I always felt safe walking back to the hotel . And the hotel is also about a 15 minute walk from the waterfront through a very nice part of town. The entire experience was a great success.

“Great!”

All the Staff was very helpful and friendly from the bellhops, to the front desk to the Concierge. Hotel and rooms were clean and quiet. It's a green hotel and follows through. Great location: next door to Horton Plaza and close to the Metro Trolley, the Old Town Trolley Tour Bus, Gaslamp, Seaport Village, Harbour. I would definitely stay there again.

“4th Year visit and I will be back!”

Excellent service, fromthe front desk, to Ricardo in the restaurant, to Marina and Tom on the concierge desk. I have been back 4 times, with family and without, on business and pleasure travel, and they never disappoint. The rooms are all recently renovated, and lovely - that was a great surprise. Highly recommend. Good value and short walk to Convention Centre.

“Terrific Location - Would Definitely Go Back”

Location is everything for this hotel. Within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars. Guestroom was more than adequate and the staff very friendly. No complaints at all.

“4+ star hotel.”

Hotel was priced, and almost perfectly exemplified a 4+ star rating. Perfect location for convention centre and gaslamp district. Great staff. Expensive breakfast- not great quality, but convenient and probably affordable for 4+ star travellers. Anyone who complains about this hotel is probably crazy or had some really bad luck. Of course I've only been there once, but I can't see it possibly giving less than a 4 star experience.

Nice room. Clean & comfortable. Front desk staff were very friendly. We enjoyed a short walk to many restaurants & entertainment.

“Excellent downtown location, would definitely stay here again.”

This was a terrific downtown location for my adult daughter & I to stay for our annual 'girls' holiday. Very safe, close to Horton Plaza, a block from Broadway Street for public transit. The buses, trolley trains in San Diego are fantastic! We purchased all day passes & travelled everywhere. The people were very friendly & helpful when we asked for directions. The only attraction we were not able to access was San Diego Wild Animal Park since we didn't rent a car & it would have taken us 3 hours (one way) by public transit.
