“They need to double check their rooms”

This place was really cute and I loved the fact that it had a bar. When I walked into the room, the brown sheets looked dirty. They did not have an extra room to moove us to, so all that they did was remove the brown sheets. So if the question is if I would go back.... no I wouldn't. I've been there once and thats enough.

“Very Trendy with a Retro Feel.”

Staff very helpful and knowledgeable of area. Great for us, however, may not be suited for a older or occupants looking for a quiet getaway. Enjoyed the rest/lounge very good menu.

“Small but comfortable”

I loved the whole retro vintage vibe as well as the helpfull hotel staff. The room was very small but it was perfect for the two of us who went. It had all the bare necesities. I would reccomend this hotel for younger people.

“Funky”

If you want a kid friendly leisurely place to stay this is not it! With a funky restaurant/lounge attached it is an ideal place to have a girls or guys night out. If you are there on Wednesday night do not forget to bring your swimsuit for the "Dive-in" theatre. Rooms are small, but are well designed, and if you want to go to bed early, make sure your room is not on the first floor near the pool area (this area is part of the lounge/restaurant) and the sound will travel.

“very hip hotel”

The atmosphere was great, very nice pool area with attached restaurant/bar. Would be difficult to enjoy pool in evening with diners at poolside. Parking is limited but it is San Diego.

“Good Boutique hotel for a good price”

While the hotel is still new, we were pleased at the interesting decor, and we had amazing food there. Definitely try the pork chop and/or the mushroom rizzuto.

“Classic Modern”

This hotel really is a beautiful hotel. It was a bit hard to find, even with our GPS because it comes up really quickly and because it is so small the parking is very limited. But they front desk was kind enough to let us park in the reserved spots when we couldn't find a spot. We were a bit bummed because we asked for a certain type of room and didn't get the one we requested but the room we got was nice anyways. It is very modern and beautiful and I'm sure during the summer the pool would be a great place to hang out. There wasn't a jacuzzi so we didn't even go near the pool because we went in December. The staff is very friendly. We got to our room and didn't have an ice bucket in it and they found no problem getting us one very quickly and they also gave us a free very nice glass bottle of water to go with it. Overall I loved this hotel and can't wait to come back and stay in one of their other rooms to see what they are like!

“Hip spot, great design... a little lacking in refinement...”

This little hotel had been completely worked over by a great designer with a spot-on sense of retro chic style. Rooms can be tight (Gem) to comfortable (Jewel) to over the top. The included fish was a nice touch (Rambo and I became quite good buds) and the outside pool/lounge with video screen was uber-cool. Concierge/check-in and basic room services and amenities were very weak... Location is slightly isolated - but central if you have a car. I'll be back, even if I have to bring my own towels!

“Comfortable hip hotel”

This is a comfortable place to stay outside of downtown. Although the rooms are very small I would stay there again. Parking is limited. The bar area opens toward the pool whcih creates a inviting, laid back atmosphere. When we checked in, the front desk person was unkempt and misinforming. However, the night front desk person was very knowledgable and helpful.
