“American version of a spectacular Italian Villa”

The service and the surroundings were beyond anything I have ever experienced. They had such wonderful food, lodging, and activities. We hiked a nearby trail everyday and my child went on a lovely pony ride. The pool areas were divine, heated and family friendly. I cannot wait to go back. None of us wanted to leave.

“Amazing Hotel”

We booked this hotel online for our honeymoon and we had no idea it would be so remarkable! The rooms are gorgeous, the food is good and the customer service is fantastic.

“A slice of tuscany in San Diego”

The hotel was beautiful, the rooms immaculate and the setting lovely -- but what really made the hotel stand out was the quality of the service. The staff was amazing -- the standard of service was outstanding. Highly recommend the hotel - it was one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in.

“the grand lives up to its name.”

The most amazing place to stay in every aspect. You have to see it to beleive it.

Area recommendations
If u need a place that thrives with night life, I would recommend the gas lamp quarter.

“San Diego Aristocrat”

We were constantly amazed with the opulence of the hotel and the high level of service. The hotel is about 250 rooms and was fairly full when we were there but there was never a sense of it being crowded. An exceptionally memorable stay.

“Grand Del Mar visit”

this is unquestionably the best hotel that we have stayed at. we have stayed at Four Seasons and Ritz Carltons all over the world. The Grand del Mar is a standout in that regard. It really is THAT GOOD! if you dont stay at the Grand Del Mar, you are missing out on a chance of a lifetime

“Very Pleased!”

This hotel was amazing... It was very relaxing... the rooms were beautiful...beds were comfy...they have two different pools...kids/ family pool in one area then an adult pool in another area. Loved that. The food was very good as well! Highly recomend this hotel to anyone wanthing a nice gataway

“Heaven on Earth”

This was by far one of the best spas I have ever been to. The service and facilities were exceptional. The staff was excellent. And, the hotel was extraordinary. The room was beautiful, the hotel property was wonderful and the service was impeccable. I would return in a heart beat. I loved this placed.
