bad surrounding neighborhood, loud road noise, thin walls, couldn't get wifi in the room.

“La Mesa needs better hotels than this”

Both light and noise leaked in around the door, so it was hard to sleep. There were no iron and ironing board in the room, nor a room safe--things that are pretty standard in today's hotels. The room was pretty cramped and tiny. The bath towels were quite thin, as were the pillows. I thought that the Breathe Rite nose strips were an amusing amenity to offer, but that may have spoken to the thinness of the hotel walls between rooms. LOL The included breakfast consisted of cheap coffee, some fruit, and generic pastries in plastic bags. The whole experience was rather lackluster, but I was hoping for better since this hotel is one of the "Pride of Super 8" hotels.

“Room smelled bad”

The room smelled horrible--like stale pot. There were guys in the parking lot at 4am who I was pretty certain were dealing drugs. The bathroom towels were so old that they were frayed at the edges. I booked here because I needed to be close to the university, but it wasn't worth the convenient location--this place was pretty ghetto.

The hotel is not in the safest area. The room was dirty from front to end. The sheets, carpet, bathroom. Yea NEVER going back! There are way better hotels just 3-5minutes away!
