“Great area near Mitch's Seafood.”

This little place does not look like much but is comfortable and clean and in prime location near the marina and the ocean. Nice staff and bright, sparse room with a whiff of the salty sea air. Full tv channel line-up and good WiFi. Best fresh fish and seafood and clam chowder in Point Loma is a block away at Mitch's Seafood. Superb! Jimmy's is great for nightlife right around the corner.

“Traveling on a budget”

Though Sun Harbor Motel is an old building, for those who just want a clean place to stay and don't mind traffic noise, it is a bargain. The bed was among the most comfortable I've slept on. The Indian family who runs the premises is polite and friendly, so it has a good feel to it. The motel is just a block away from the San Diego harbor with a few enjoyable waterfront restaurants, and inland, the neighborhood up on the hill, Loma Point, is a great place to walk off the stress of travel by looking at pretty homes and feeling the moist ocean breeze from the west.

“Great location, that is all.”

The location is great and the small room was clean, other than that there is more than a few dings and holes and just ramshackle maintenance on property. The bed was comfortable and the tv gets 100 channels so that is a plus. The area is marvelous for walking the marinas and waterfront.
