“Great Stay”

The hotel was pretty good overall. Includes a fairly good breakfast with a good selection of products, including make-your-own waffles. Didn't get a chance to use the pool as it was overcast and kind of chilly when we were there. One word of warning, the fold-out sofa bed is really thin and quite terrible. Our kids slept on it without complaint, but I would hesitate to put an adult on it. We chose this hotel because it was pretty much halfway between Seaworld and Safari Park, which were our two destinations. Not much around the hotel, but it is a more commercial area, so it was quite quiet at night.

“One Visit Was Quite Memorable”

The hotel staff was truly OUTSTANDING offering EXCELLENT customer service. Issues with suite: Sink stopped up in one bathroom. Toilet did not consistently flush in second bathroom. The larger multipurpose microwave oven did not work; a smaller one was provided instead. Mattress in sofabed dipped in the center; needs to be replaced. Mattresses in the other rooms were too soft; great pillows and 100% cotton blankets offered great warmth. "Full" kitchen consisted of two burners (one small/one large) to cook, full refrigerator, and dishwasher; there was no oven. It is always a good idea to check with property to find out the contents of a "full" kitchen. Good breakfast buffet choices that changed each day; meat was not provided with each breakfast. Computer in Business Center needs to be upgraded with the latest versions of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; internet speed was very slow. The greatest asset is the AWESOME customer service; staff are attentive, prompt, ready to resolve issues, and address concerns. Library offered good selection of children and adult movies on DVD and VHS. In suite, both bedrooms had VHS players; unable to watch DVDs in bedrooms; living area had a DVD player. Suite is not spacious; it's quite "cozy"; wood furniture is worn and could be updated. Suite served its purpose but we would opt for a different hotel in the future. There is an outdoors mall about 5 minutes away on Mira Mesa with plenty of eateries,stores,grocery stores, pharmacy, and banks.

“Beautiful hotel and closer than you think to many attractions”

This is a beautiful hotel with very polite and knowledgable staff that provided my family with directons to many attractions. The accomodations are outstanding!!! The pool is heated, the grounds are gorgeous, the gym had everything we needed for a great workout, the library and a nice collection of books and movies to relax with, and the breakfast that they served each morning was phenomonal with a wonderful array of foods to choose from. If I had to chose something that I would like to see at this hotel it would be a jacuzzi, but overall my family and I were very satisfied and will definitely stay her again.

“Great stay”

I love the Staybridge chain. We always look forward to staying here on our trips. The Sorrento Staybridge is a little different in its set up than others that we have stayed. It is set up more like a hotel rather than separate 'condo-type' suites. I did like the fact that they had an elevator though. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the free breakfast and dinners were good. The surrounding areas were safe and not too far from highway access. I brought my 2 year old son and wife with me on this trip and would definitely stay there again.

“Great Value for the Price”

The hotel had a decent size pool in the back - not a lap pool but big enough to swim comfortably. There was also sitting area by the pool and also in the patio backyard. The free breakfast bar was big enough to accomodate hot breakfast rotated every day to cold cereals and fruit that were there everyday. There was plenty for people who were watching their diet to people who wanted to load up for a long day. Although we didn't eat dinner during our stay (free dinners offered 3 evenings of the week), we did see plenty of people who were dining in the evenings. The dinner menu also seemed to rotate on a daily basis. In addition, coffee / tea was available most of the day / evenings in the common lounge area. During my next visit to San Diego, we'll be staying at the Staybridge again.

“Great for families!”

Staff was always helpful and pleasant! The hot breakfast every morning was great and they even had dinner on 3 weeknights. Nice location and close to shopping also. Suite was very spacious for 5 of us, would highly recommend to families!

“Great Christmas Eve stay”

We were in San Diego for one night for a Christmas Eve celebration and reunion with our extended family. Our immediate family of 8 needed a place to stay. Our first option had fallen through, and I was panicking. I am so grateful that I "happened" upon Staybridge Suites Sorrento Mesa. It was perfect! It offered privacy and space for our children and their spouses with the 2 bedrooms, yet provided us a place to celebrate Christmas morning together. The staff was helpful, bringing an extra blanket within a couple minutes of our call. We enjoyed the great breakfast that was included, the beautiful dining room and nicely landscaped grounds. I would definitely recommend staying here, and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
