“Great place to stay”

My family of three stayed here for a week. We had a one bedroom suite which gave us plenty of room. The kitchenette was quite useful. The location is great for getting around to all the San Diego attractions. There are lots of restaurants in the area. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't find the ambulance noise bothered us and in fact my 9 year old boy loved watching all the emergency vehicles.

“Comic-con visit”

We were in San Diego for Comic-con and we chose this hotel based on proximity to the zoo, sea world, and the convention centre. All of the reviews looked positive and we had similar experiences of this hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the breakfast was wonderful, and we even had a complimentary bbq on Friday. The hospital across the street was busy on the weekend, but we didn't here a thing with the AC on at night. Overall, great hotel.

“A nice place for famliles.”

A very nice stay for the price. The staff was always cheerful and courteous. The kitchen could have been better stocked with pots, pans, plates, etc. The noise insulation was a bit lacking. Location was excellent, with lots of nearby restaurants and shops. Close to Balboa park and the San Diego Zoo. Would stay here again.

“Sommerset Suites Hotel March 2012”

This is a very good hotel with excellent access to several major tourist attractions. It is extremely well served by public transport. Just buy a $5 day pass on the bus and you can bus and trolley to Old Town, Balboa Park, the Santa Fe Depot, the USS Midway and Marine museums and on and on. We were well taken care of. The only negative is the constant sound of emergency vehicle sirens, but we were gone most of the day so it is a minor irritant and the area itself is great! Would definitely stay again on a future visit.
