“Great location”
A great B&B with a beautiful view. Fantastic location at the beach. The Continental breakfast was not impressive, but that was the only negative. The room was maintained extremely well, the price was great, and it was within walking distance of the town. We had a fantastic time.

Every thing was great except their bathroom was too small.
“Would live there if I could!”
This was one of the most wonderful places we have ever stayed! The rooms were extremely nice with all the amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful with information about the area and wonderful recommendations for places to eat. The view from the property cannot be beat. We had never been to this area before and were in awe of the coastal area. Overall a wonderful experience. The Scripp's Inn is more along the lines of a B & B than a hotel/motel but not like staying in someone's home. Very quaint, quiet and romantic.
“We will be back....VERY SOON!”
What a location! The nearby shopping area of La Jolla is so quaint and beautiful. Our stay was only for one short night but it was great going to bed with the sounds of the ocean waves lulling you to sleep! Our very clean, welcoming room, while not quite overlooking the ocean, still had a nice view of it as the Inn is just across the street from the Pacific. We would have loved to stay a second night but the room we wanted was already booked. The continental breakfast provided a nice start to the day. We are already planning our return trip at a time when there is a full moon - that would be an awesome sight, watching it rise over the ocean! Hopefully we can get one of the ocean-facing rooms as these seem to book out early!
“Ocean front perfection”
If you are looking for Ocean front in La Jolla, look no furthera sit is not going to get better than this. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome in the best location imaginable in La Jolla, which again is the best location in the San Diego area. To avoid misunderstandings, this is not a full service hotel, but a B&B - but after spending a week in five-star hotels in NYC and LA, its perfectly executed simplicity, the large size and the high quality of the rooms where more than refreshing. When there was a problem with the plumbing Elaine's team was on the case and had it sorted within in minutes. Top mark's from us and we will be back, if they are not booked. With oonly a dozen+ rooms I would expect the place to be fully booked pretty much all the time. My tip - open the window at night and listen to the surf at the beach.
“Peaceful and Relaxing Weekend Trip”
The hotel is perfectly located right across the street from the ocean. The room was wonderful. Very clean and spacious. Walking distince to prospect st. where all the shopping and restaurants is only 5 minutes. Overall, my girlfriend and I had a great time and where very happy about our hotel selection.
“Very nice setting charm and great location steps to the beach and shops.”
The Inn is very much an old style La Jolla beach getawaybut not rustic. This is comfortable but not eligant we very much enjoyed our stay and would return.
“Nice La Jolla Location”
This is a pleasant, well-run motel right across the street from the ocean and a nice walk into the main part of La Jolla. The room was larger than we expected, had a comfortable bed and adequate storage. Our TV needed to be upgraded, but it served our purposes. We enjoyed the continental breakfast on the common veranda. We had terrific weather.
“Clean, good breakfast, but a little bit noisy”
Room was very clean. King bed was good for my two sons who are 15 and 14. Sofabed for my wife and me was moderate. Bread in continental breakfast was unexpectedly good. Location was good to enjoy the roar of the waves, but it was too noisy to sleep well.
“Beautiful Inn in La Jolla”
A wonderful hotel right on the ocean. Everything was new and beautifully decorated. A perfect get away vacation. The only negative was the children in the room above our who sounded like a her of elephants running back and forth. Perhaps more soundproofing in the celings?
