“Great staff, good breakfast and nice rooms”
This was our 2nd time staying here and it's a great fit for our family with small kids. The studio kitchen is very nice to have when you have little ones who need milk and other goodies. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. Beds were a little lumpy, but tolerable. Pillows were a little too soft, but no biggie. Would stay again.
“Will stay there again.”
Everything we needed for our family vacation. Great location, great food, friendly and helpful staff.
“Would stay there again and again”
This is a great location for touring San Diego and going up the coast. I was so surprised by the wonderful rooms. It was great to have a kitchen with a fridge to keep cold drinks and a microwave for heating up food. THe breakfast buffet was great! That was one meal that we didn't have to buy and they had a great assorment of food. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to San Diego!
“Marriott Residence Inn - Newly Renovated!”
The staff was awesome and the hotel penthouse was incredible with 3 Queen beds and 3 37" plasmas. Brand new renovation. Very quiet place, jacuzzi in each court and the pool was rather pleasant. You are close to everything to include beaches, Legoland, Sea World, Zoo, Downtown and Seaport Village. You cant go wrong with the Residence Inn. the breakfast buffet gets crowded after 8AM, so get there before then and its practically empty.
“feel like you're at home!”
We stayed in one of the loft units, that way my buddy and I could have separate bed-rooms. Great place. A comfortable living room area -- excellent bedrooms and bathrooms. Breakfast each morning at the Clubhouse area. I highly recommend it for a visit to the La Jolla area.
“Excellent Location for UCSD....an expensive ride downtown”
We stayed five nights at this location. The staff were extremely helpful in getting information and giving directions . The only downside to the stay was a water pipe break. We were offered another suite to use and even move to but the staff assured us that the problem would be fixed by 4:00pm. We were out for the day so we stayed put and the problem was fixed when we returned . Staff even offered to pack us up and move. Huge thanks to Tanya ,Ali and Cathy. The shuttle is an excellent way to get to areas around the hotel within (5 Miles) free on the hour . Pick up a mere call away. Great place to stay if your business is at UCSD ,an expensive cab fare or a long bus ride to anywhere in downtown San Diego. Otherwise we had avery good experience
“QUIETEST PLACE TO STAY AND BEST BED”
WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY. THE STAFF WAS WONDERFUL,GREAT BREAKFAST,GOOD BED AND THE MOST QUIET ROOM WE HAVE EVER HAD!!! IT WAS LIKE THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE AT THE HOTEL AND THE PLACE WAS FULL. IT WAS REALLY NICE THAT THEY HAVE MORE THAN ONE HOT TUB. MY HUSBAND USED IT A FEW TIMES AND HE WAS THE ONLY ONE IN IT. ALSO IT WAS NICE THAT THEY HAD BARBAQUES ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS WITH A TON OF FOOD.CHICKEN HAMBURGERS,HOTDOGS,POTATOE SALAD,ECT. IT WAS REALLY GOOD!! OUR STAY WAS 10 NIGHTS AND WE DIDNT WANT TO LEAVE. SINCERELY, THE CASEYS
“La Jolla, CA”
Staff was helpful, friendly, pleasant. Any concerns we had were taken care of immediately. Breakfast buffet was more than expected and met all wants.
“nice hotel not very helpful front desk”
called from the airport to find out transportation to hotel (according to expedia there were shuttle services) the hotel told me the only transportation was a $50 cab ride, when I got to the airport I found the name of about 10 shuttle services the cheapest being $14. also the internet was down half the time due to faulty hardware. Also the hotel double billed my credit card.... other than these issues which some may find nit picky the rooms were very spacious and equipped with a full kitchen which was nice.
“Nice place to stay with family”
We stayed here for 3 nights and the location is great. Restaurants and grocery stores are within walking distance. Very close to downtown La Jolla and about 10 minutes from downtown San Diego. Only complaint...towels seem to be in short supply especially pool towels and wash cloths. The buffet breakfast is a nice touch but it seems to attract a rush/frenzy and makes it not very relaxing.
