“A perfect get-a-way”

I went to get away, an escape for a couple of days and this was a perfect pick for that. It was absolutely relaxing and seeing the families there enjoying it just as much was a delight. A very well taken care of property with a great staff.

“Great gem in the middle of Rancho Bernardo!”

Beautiful old Spanish style hotel. Relaxing Spa and surrounding gardens. Good restaurants.

“Seemed Deserted”

This is a nice resort and we did go at an off-peak time of year. I did not feel that the staff appreciated the few guests that were there. The restaurant prices and room service prices were unreal - too much. I also thought it was ridiculous to be charged a dailyl parking fee since we had paid very well to stay there per night.

“Beautiful landscape and great food.”

This hotel is nestled away in a residential area, which makes the whole experience more relaxing. Quiet. Peaceful. The landscape is amazing. If you want to go unwind, this is definitely one of our favorites.

“Nice property...but not a 5-star”

I attended a family reunion at Rancho Bernardo Inn. I had called a couple of days before arrival to request room close by my cousin, who booked separately. They promised to put us in the same building, but didn't. When we checked in, we were as far apart as possible. (This is a very large property with a lot of walking). They did move me to a building closer. That said, the staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast on the verandah was outstanding...both food and service. And they seemed to have arrangements for our family dinner well in hand. My room was comfortable, but a little dated, especially the bathroom. A very small shower and very low water pressure made it hard to get the shampoo out of my hair. I would probably go back.

“Beautiful property”

The resort is stunning, with beautiful paths, lighting and landscaping. The room was very comfortable and the balcony was beautiful with a view of the golf course. Concierge was very helpful with recommendations for "family-friendly" restaurants in the area. My whole family enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

“A nice place to stay”

We have stayed at a number of places in Rancho Bernardo and while The Inn would not be my number 1 choice for a return visit, it was nice, well maintained and relatively convenient. I must admit the $10 a day add-on fee for self-parking is more than a bit irritating!

“A good place to stay when in the neighborhood.”

A very nice place to be in. Remember if you are in a hurry there is quite a bit to go from parking to your room if you are unlucky and to main looby. The golf course might have hosted some PGA and LPGA tournaments but would definite not qualify today. A nice course in good condition but nothing moore.

“Would return in a minute”

Common areas of the hotel were a bit on the worn side as were some rooms--updating of furnishings needed. However, the service and amenities were wonderful. All employes were most helpful and quite friendly. Food was quite good.
