“Ramada the motel”
The hotel was very basic and extremely small. At night we needed to turn on the heat and it was like starting a car! The heater was so loud. We had to decide if we wanted heat or peace and quiet to sleep - we chose peace and quiey and froze a bit. Oddly the bed was decent. I'm saying decent compared to everything else. I knew when I was booking this hotel it was not a five star but being a 'Ramada' I expected it to be more than a motel style. I guess to sum it up, you're basically booking a motel. I would pay the extra money to stay at the Sheraton or the hilton by the airport. Oh, the continental breakfast was ok. Don't think you can really go wrong with cereal and toast.
“Ramada Limited San Diego Airport”
Small room with a King Bed, but the other features (refrigerator, microwave, cable TV, free Wi-FI, fitness center, free breakfast, etc.) were great. I would stay there again.
“Ramada Limited San Diego airport.”
Very nice hotel. We had a room you can smoke in so, thats teriffic. It's getting harder and harder to find smoking rooms; so, I was very happy to find one. The room looked just like the pictures on the web. The only thing I didn't like was that the carpet in our room had stains on it. It should be replaced. Other than that it was great!
“Don't confuse this with a 'real' Ramada”
I expected a lot more out of a hotel chain from Ramada. However, since this is a franchised hotel, there are many issues. It was mostly clean, but very old. For the price and the area, it is a bargain.
“very convenient to live”
it close to seaworld, old town, ocean beach, mission bay, midway and not too far away from downtown. it's really convenient to live if you were going to have a trip in san diego!
“"Cramped & moldy"”
Room was very dark, cramped, and moldy smelling. The windows opened to the back parking lot, so it was not safe to leave them open. The wall unit air conditioner rattled so badly that I had to use some duct tape from my camera kit and wrap the grate to help absorb some of the vibration. There were few restaurants or shops nearby. The pool area was outdated and uninviting. It just was not an optimal location.
“Honeymoon Trip!”
Great place, kind of an inconvenient location but not to bad.
“overpriced”
Quality of hotel maintenence was horrible. Would not recommned this hotel.
“cost effective”
it is located close to harbour boulevard. Receptionists may show more hospitality.
“Well.......”
So, my family and I are from a town of 1000 or so if you count the grasshoppers, and this was our last leg of a 9 day trip to Disneyland, Sea world, the beach, U.S.S. Midway museum, etc.. The hotel. It looked as if the hotel had just undergone some maintenance, paint was fresh, grounds were nice, lobby was immaculate. When we were greeted, the gal behind the desk was very busy trying to accomodate some other guests, so she was not as "helpful" as I would have preferred. The cleaning staff was very friendly, but unless you speak spanish, you will not get much but a nod and smile. The room was clean and comfortable, but the bathroom was tiny. The breakfast was good but one annoying part was that the room is too small for all of the guests, and several times the power went out as a result of too many items on a breaker and took literally 20-30 minutes to restore. The location was very nice. We were close to downtown and far enough away to have space.
