“Az”

An older hotel, but clean. The trolley's that we overlooked were electric cars & quiet. Trolley service stopped about 11pm......no noise! Breakfast was adequate! No need to pig out while traveling.

“Nice Hotel”

The hotel was clean and the staff accomodating. We had housekeeping all but one day (which we could not explain). The hot breakfast was lovely and fresh and clean. Only downside was the speed of the elevator, but people were very accomodating. A delightful experience overall.

“Good hotel for the price”

I have stayed in many budget hotels/motels and was surprised by the quality and condition of this hotel and staff, the room and grounds were clean and well kept, the pool and hot tub were just what we needed after a day of running in San Diego. The free breakfast was very good and they had a wonderful variety. The hotel staff was very friendly and help full. I will stay at the Quality Inn in El Cajon the next time we visit San Diego.

Area recommendations

We visited the U.S.S. Midway and the Maritime Museum, I highly recommend both but be prepared to walk

“You get what you pay for.”

The room seemed clean, but after walking around the floor barefoot, both my daughter and I had to wash our feet because they were black. I've never had that happen before on carpet. The beds were uncomfortable and the a/c didn't work well. Unfortunately, we were on the tracks side of the hotel, and could hear the trains go by. It's a commuter track, so there were many! And I know all the people running around outside is not the hotel's fault, but it certainly added to an inability to sleep. The bathroom seemed very clean, however, and there was a small fridge, micro, coffee maker...the tv had very few channels, and it was a little tough because we have small kids and nothing on the tv was ok for them. The breakfast in the morning was standard and fine.

“worth going”

hotel was nice, friendly, clean, great breakfast, somewhat confusing location from the highway, somewhat noisy near the highway but if air is on, it's fine. Nice hot tub.

“our regular stop”

we feel at home here, because we lived in East County for thirty years. Every stay is consistent, the entire staff, from maid to manager is always cheerful and very helpful. The Midifine crew will continue to stay here whenever we are down in El Cajon.

Area recommendations

San Diego has a lot to offer, as nature photographers, we can find beauty everywhere. The jetty at south mission gave us great sunsets with dozens of pelicans, The Birch aquarium gave us migrating whales, and Alpine blessed us with huge red tailed hawks. We suggest cramming all the touristy stuff in early, then just explore, and enjoy.

“Good for the Price”

The area was little "shady" but it was located near the freeway so it made getting around easier. The room was fairly nice and the beds were comfy. Only about 13 channels on the T.V. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good, but it was the same stuff for all 4 days. No sound issues with other people. You can hear the freeway but it's not bad. All in all a pretty good hotel for the price.

Outdoors or beach

Mission Beach is gorgeous! Little shops and a roller coaster nearby.
