“excellant location for the price”
I enjoyed the stay at parc hotel. It is close to the convention center.It was a very nice 15 min walk. The location is central. I did not use my rented car much during my wk stay.
“Gorgeous apartment style hotel!”
This hotel is a renovated Victorian home with brazilian hardwood floors, granite counter tops, and stainless steel appliances. It was beautiful and spacious and a great place to stay! The owner of the building was incredibly gracious and even gave us tips of where to go in the city. The only downside is that it is slightly outside the center of the city, but is only a $6 dollar cab ride to there. However, I would highly recommend getting a car (even if you stay at another hotel) because the public transportation system is not very good and there are plenty of places outside the center of the city that should want to see. All in all, this place was an amazing deal for the value and we would definitely stay there again if we come back to San Diego.
“Very Comfortable”
I enjoyed my stay at the Parc Suites. Everything you needed was available in the kitchen.. pots, pans, dishes, ect. Although I didn't use much of it. The room was very comfortable. Bedroom and bathroom were clean. Towels available.. but you'll have to bring your toiletries though. Bed was so comfortable. Quiet place, and was great place to relax after long day at work conference/meetings. Enjoyed my stay and will recommend to friends and family. Very reasonably priced. Reason for my choosing the Parc. In a friendly neighboorhood. Convience store just down the street and enjoyed the Mexican Fast Food locations in the area.
“Great Downtown San Diego Home Away From Home”
Parc Suites-I found this Victorian, apartment-style accomodation a comfy hide-away to curl up and relax in after jam-packed conference days at the near-by San Diego Convention Centre. It also provided close access to the famous San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, the downtown restaurants, theatres and night life. I found the rooms spacious and well appointed. I could make my favourite "cuppa" in the fully equipt kitchen (in-room kettles are scarce in US hotels, but not at Parc Suites) and it allowed me the option of eating some meals in. I also appreciated the laundry facilities, free WIFI, and something very rare in the downtown area--free, secure, off-street parking! All in all, a great little find for access, comfort and value for money!!
“Close to downtown”
The room we received was just as shown in the web pictures. Modern and brand new, very clean. This is actually a small apartment building in a residential neighborhood. Public transportation is available, but would definitely recommend a rental car. Very close to major freeways. This is a remodeled large home an tended to be a little noisy at night as other guests/renters returned to their rooms. On sight laundry , community computer and wi-fi all available and worked well. No on sight office, so you need to call before arrival, but rental agent was always available by phone. We enjoyed our stay.
“Not exactly as pictured”
We stayed in a one-bedroom condo. The bedroom was large. The pull-out bed was a single-size futon. We were expecting a newly remodeled kitchen with granite counter tops, but actually got a cozy older kitchen. The kitchen had a stove,oven, full size refrigerator, small microwave, coffee maker, and was stocked with pots, pans, and tableware. The unit also has a dining table with four chairs, and a love seat. The bathroom was very tiny and had no counter space. The location is in a residential neighborhood in a "colorful" area, but very close to downtown. We had no problems getting around town from the house. The property is gated and locked. We never felt unsafe. There is no AC, but we did fine with fans and open windows. However, you don't want to leave your window open at night because the birds are very noisy very early in the morning. We didn't hear too much noise from the other residents in the house. You're expected to take out trash, clean dishes, and sweep before you leave. Overall, it was clean and comfortable. Our stay was great, we were just expecting something different from the pictures.
“SAN DIEGO”
The Parc Suites is in a house converted to rentals and hotel rooms. It is a few blocks from the office. It was very comfortable. The office staff met us at the office, then took us to the house where our room was. The location is in a residential neighborhood. It is not the best neighborhood in San Diego, but we never felt unsafe. It is easy to get to other areas, such as Balboa Park, Gaslight, Old Town, etc.
