“Nice Getaway”

The Omni is one of the nicest hotels we've stayed at and the service was excellent. The concierge goes out of their way to help. We had a great view of the harbor. This hotel isn't in the heart of downtown, which depending on your reason for visiting SD could be a good or bad thing. It was away from the "sketchier" sides of SD but close enough to walk or take a cab to gaslamp district. The only downside was the Valet Parking - it is a bit expensive $32/nt but parking in general is expensive in SD. We parked right across the street for $18/nt. We'd definitely stay here again!

“Train Noise Ruined the Luxury”

All in all great location, service and facilities, but the train noise at 4 AM every day was really awful. We were on the 21st floor overlooking the bay and while it was a gorgeous view, it was still noisy. After the first night we really wished we would have stayed somewhere else. We stayed a total of 5 nights and while I eventually got used to the noise, my husband did not. He refused to wear the ear plugs. The bed and linens were heavenly.

“Great”

Lovely place. Friendly staff. Very convenient for the baseball! Wish there was a kettle in the room though - as we don't drink coffee!

“Great location, friendly staff, expensive parking”

I got a great rate on Expedia per night for 12/31 and 1/01 about a month in advance. It was about 70% off regular price so I was extremely impressed. The hotel was great for the price I got. Great location: it's right by the corner of the Gaslamp entry, right across street from convention center. Shorter distance than what I expected from looking at the map. Friendly staff: everyone was very nice. At first I requested the higher floor on Expedia, and for sure they put me at the highest level but without a bay view. The bellman who carried our luggages went extra mile to call the lobby and switched to another room with a bay view for us. The bay view was awesome. Sunset was like a dream! Expensive parking: parking is $32 a day so be careful arranging your transportation. It is the same as any other hotel though if not less.

“great experience”

My kids and I really enjoyed our short stay here. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and they had lots of great goodies for the kids. The location was good. I would definitely stay here again!

“Awesome baseball wkend”

The Omni is first class, but the sky walk to the baseball stadium was too cool!! If you're a baseball fan you must stay here and experience the stroll to and from your hotel to the stadium, and what a nice baseball stadium.

“Clutch Omni”

The hotel was located right across from Petco Park where we went to a Padres game. We literally walked from the 4th floor of the hotel on an airbridge right into the Park...My girlfriend ran a marathon and they served coffee and dessert to marathoners in the early morning of the race. Amazing service, quality stay...Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great spot with awesome location to Gaslamp Quarter (around the corner)
