I was very concerned about the location of this hotel prior to going because there are some hotels in the area that I would not want to stay in and didn't know if this was included in those. To my surprise and pleasure, the Ocean Inn was quite new with great facilities, close to the ocean, had the refrigerator in the room which I required plus lots of other amenities. I would definitely look forward to going again. Thank you Ocean Inn.

“Right on the main road where all the beaches are highway 101”

A little older rooms but for the price and location don't expect too much. Go down the street to the local donut shop-yum yum. An easy place to stay with not much hassle getting to the beaches-it was great.

For a class reunion time at San Dieguito, I was alone and my stay was quite well appreciated.

The Ocean Inn is well maintained, the staff professional, the grounds attractively kept. Don't book here for the "continental" breakfast, though ... your choices are well-preserved danishes wrapped in cellophone or white-bread toast.

The staff was very friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. The room was nice. There was a stain on the carpet. A water pipe rattled when we flushed the toilet. Over all, it was clean and quiet. Could not hear other guests. Short walk to the ocean. The neighbor hood was very quiet. Did not see much of the area where the hotel was as we spent most of our time in San Diego at MCRD. We did take a walk one evening to the beach and felt comfortable walking. For the money we saved, it was worth it.
