“TONY'S REVIEW”
I am extremely satisfied with the hotel. It is really clean and roomy. The gym equipment is very new, I was very surprised to see such amenity in such good condition. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
“Not Impressed”
I was not happy to find my room wide open at the sliding glass door. I called the front desk ,they said the house keepers must have left it open from 7 AM to 10 PM . No formal apology.
“Nice location, service was OK”
The hotel staff was friendly, but not overly dedicated to your comfort... The room was spacious but smelled a bit to mold. Golf courts looked great and the club house was really nice.
“Overrated, Unimpressed, Misleading”
We booked our room at Morgan Run because we were going to San Diego for vacation but did not want to stay immediately in the city of San Diego. Morgan Run is an ideal location about 5 minutes off of the 805. While we enjoyed the location, the room and reservation could not be more misleading. We booked a King bedroom which we thought included a fireplace and a 32" tv. When we arrived there was no fireplace, the tv was about 20" and we had a double bed. After inquiring at the front desk about the size of our bed, the front desk attendant said they only have two types of rooms- a single Kind bedroom or a double queen room. When we said there was only 1 bed but it was not a king, she asked quite literally, "Did you go to the right room?". Obviously we went to the correct room since she was the one who issued us the keys! Suffice to say, we were not happy with the room but made the best of it. In regards to our housekeeping, our trash was not emptied every time the room was made up, however the towels were always changed. Morgan Run participates in a save the water program, and asks guests to hang up their towels if they do not need to be laundered. We hung them up, since we didn't want to waste the water but every night we received fresh, new towels. While we didn't mind clean towels, it was annoying to see that they weren't adhering to their own policies of saving water consumption. Long story short- we will not stay at Morgan Run again, even though it had a good location.
“interesting hotel”
this small hotel is very quiet and with beautiful views
“Fabulous Pool and Spa”
Pool and spa were extraordinary: most of pool was shallow, appropriate for kids, with separate lanes marked for laps; spa was huge and very relaxing. There were also tennis and golf facilites which we did not use. The room was very clean and comfortable. There was an additional resort fee we had to pay at checkin, but we've encountered this at other resorts so no big deal. I was traveling with my 90 year old mother (using a walker), and the hotel worked well for her as well.
“Incredible!”
This place is incredible! We loved our stay here.
“Morgan Run Resort”
Nice place that is a little dated and aged. Dirty carpets are a turn off. They charge a resort fee of $15.
“We needed a no non-sense hotel and we got it.”
Our family went to San Diego to go house hunting. We purposely looked for a hotel with basic amenities as we were always up and about. The location was great. Room is okay. Light fixtures, amenities are basic. No safe or master light switch. Hallways and stairwells could be better.
“No big deal”
This is not a 3.5 star hotel, or a resort. more like a 3 at best. They charge a $15 resort fee which is ridiculous.
