“Great spot.”
Beautiful Coronado Island is a great get away for anyone.
“Beautiful Resort View from Balcony”
Great location looking across the bay at downtown San Diego. The only drawback was there was no beach to walk out onto from the Hotel, but it was only a 5 min. drive to beautiful Coronado Beach. Water taxi to Mariott across the bay was very quick and convenient. It took us to the Marina and a short walk down the boardwalk was Seapot Village with great restaurants and quaint little shops.
“Great Resort”
I would stay there in a heartbeat again next time I go to San Diego!
“Big room, oversized tub, bright & airy room”
Didn't get to enjoy the hotel and the room too much because I was at a wedding. But the room was quite large, comfortable and I loved the bathroom with its huge tub and separate shower. Would definitely stay there again and hope to enjoy and explore the hotel premises next time.
“Extremely Satisfied and beyond”
Our stay at the Marriott Coronado was beyond our expectations. My wife and I were celebrating our 27 anniversary, do to our budget or lack there of, I told the Marriott that it was our anniversary and if possible we would like to have a room with a view. When we arrived we not only had the best view in the hotel, they provided us with a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. The room was spotless in fact; the entire hotel had been renovated. We have been staying at the Marriott every year for our anniversary and we will continue to look forward to our stay year after year.
“Very relaxed”
Lovely big room with balcony garden view better as quieter. Pool lovely and warm-will return for that! Quieter than over at the Hotel Del side which was nice, with lovely local restaurants and a low-key relaxed feeling both in the hotel and around it. Breakfast in room was excellent, the breakfast buffet's a bit chaotic. Easy ferry ride to downtown and not far from the bustle of the larger beach near the Hotel Del (half hour or so walk).
“Love to Stay Again”
Atmosphere was grand. All areas of the hotel were clean. Safe & secure. Staff was pleasant & more than helpful. Restaurant in hotel was excellent, although, as expected, expensive. Dining was indoor or outdoor. Didn't use pools due to cooler weather but grounds were lovely. Room facing the bay was a dream. I would highly recommend the hotel.
“Beyond the Call of Duty”
We had a party planned through the catering service at the hotel. They did a fabulous job and were helpful in every way. Our room was clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay again.
“Hotel is decent”
Pools are open early and late and heated to a pretty decent temperature. Largest pool usually has tons of children splashing around so if you aren't into that, plan on going early or late for a swim. The other pools are not in the central part of the hotel, but they are available. Hotel food is ok, not ground shattering. Hotel is clean and staff is friendly. Island is small enough that you can just get out right at the water's edge to walk around. You can drive pretty quickly (depending on traffic) to the other side of the island where a lot more activity goes on, ie along Orange, etc... The hotel is situated facing the bay, though, so if you want to see only beach and Pacific Ocean, this isn't the hotel for you. There is free street parking available near the hotel if you want to save a few bucks.
“Peaceful getaway!”
This is on the quieter side of the island. Peaceful - relaxing - pleasant. If you want an escape or a romantic get away this is the place to be. Avoid all the tourist of Orange Ave. Great restaurants are all in walking distance. We paid extra for a bay view. Initially we were given a first floor room overlooking the pool. Not my idea of a view. They readily moved us up to the third floor and the view improved greatly. If a view is what you want be sure to ask for a room not directly over the pool.
