“Close to Everything”
We were looking for a Room close to the Harbor attractions. I found this one on-line, and checked the Reviews. Some of the Reviews stated that the hotel was noisy being close to the Airport, on a major corner, and a railroad 1 block behind. These were all true, but we found that the room to be much better than expected. While being a little noisy, it's in the City not in the country. We had no trouble going to sleep, and getting a good nights rest. Room was excellent, well kept, clean. Bathroom had extra amenities ( soap, shampoo, extras ) Location was excellent, within walking distance to Harbor Attractions, Shopping, ect. Staff was very helpful with directions. Continental Breakfast choices were slim, but was more than expected. Great Value !
“great little hotel”
though skeptical at first due to some negative reviews, the hotel was great, fantastic location, clean and renovated rooms, terrific staff. the noise from trains and planes was not as disturbing as anticipated.
“Iwill stay there again soon.”
We had the best nights sleep inn a hotel ever here. Close to the airport but could not hear the planes.
“Convenient location, excellent service”
The hotel was a block away from the trolley station, the bus stop for the airport, and the Little Italy neighborhood. Yes, there's some noise from the traffic in front, but it didn't disturb my sleep. The room was very clean but cramped for space--not a room to spend inside on a rainy day. But I was out every morning and back in the evening. For the price, I'm satisfied. The highest praise, however, goes to the staff. Whatever I needed, they provided, cheerfully. They took the time to explain public transportation and local dining. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, but special thanks go to Dhiman. I encountered a more professional attitude than I expected for a budget hotel.
“Lovely place”
We stayed here just once night and wished we were staying longer! John on reception was extremely helpful. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our car in the car park. We met a local just after arriving who told us to head to the farmers market (we were there on a Saturday) and it was amazing. We were able to walk to most places and had a lovely full day. John advised us on catching the tram to the Old town too. Our only gripe is that we didnt plan to stay longer!! Location of motel is great, room clean (no fridge though, which would have been nice). No problems sleeping. Close to Little Italy.
“Great Location, Extremely helpful staff”
Being a budget hotel I wasn't expecting too much but was gladly surprised. The rooms are limited but comfortable and all the staff was extremely helpful. I would choose this hotel the next time I'm in San Diego and just plan on sleeping there.
“No frills, but perfect for needs”
The manager was one of the most accomodating and friendly people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with! A great bargain in a sea of expensive hotels.
“Weekend for Gaslamp”
Me and My gf stayed here for 1 night and it was perfect. Nice clean bed, clean room and clean bathroom. Came with nice tv, fridge, and microwave and free wi-fi. Not very big but perfect for me and my gf. Will def stay here again!
“Good quality, convenient, low cost”
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The hotel was close to public transportation and the airport, and a few-minutes ride from the Gaslamp District. I walked to the Gaslamp District in about 20 minutes.
“great value for the money”
Its clean. everything oy need. traffic noise is the one thing that bothered me. but otherwise, its a great place to stay for less
