“Relaxing Accomodations”
Our room had an excellent view of bay with ocean in the background. The staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous, but maid service neglected to leave sufficient amounts of towels 2 days of our stay. At night we had a little trouble parking on premises. My husband and me found the overall area very relaxing and yet close enough to enjoy the city's attractions. We would definitely consider staying there again if we go back to San Diego.
“great family amenities”
I wish when I booked on expedia, that all the amenities would have been listed...we might have stayed longer. Great family resort and beautiful grounds, buildings. Was impressed with all there is to do for kids and adults alike. The staff was friendly. Plenty of room at the pool and the water was nicely heated. My complaints are as follows: our first room was on first floor, though i requested an upper level. It was extremely loud with family above tromping around so we asked to be moved. We were moved with no problem to upper level room with a harbor view (that was a plus). I have to say, it was still extremely loud with pool noise, doors slamming and you could hear people talking in other rooms. Because of the noise, it was a poor night's sleep. Also, we decided to pay for a seasonal chilren's activity in the kids club, but when we got there it was total chaos, no instruction for art activity, they ran out of supplies, etc. I did not feel comfortable leaving my girls, and obviously the other parents didnt either as they stayed. the staff was not helpful with the kids at all and it was not worth going or paying for. Also, be forewarned that the on-site restaraunts are VERY expensive. We ate dinner at the most casual, and it was $8.75 for a kid's meal of peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Not a bad drive to head into town and there are plenty of eating choices there. However, if you just dont feel like leaving the site, it was nice to have options.
“Very Nice!!”
very nice, we had a little problem with our room (jack hammering, nail guns ect.they are renovating some rooms) but the hotel manager did relocate us to a beautiful room right away. (away from all construction) We would definatly recommend this resort and will be staying here again.
“It was Great!”
This hotel was booked for business. THE MOST COMFORTABLE BED EVER!
“great place to stay. would go back”
hotel service was fantastic. rooms were nice and clean. no complaints at all. would recommend this hotel highly.
“Great hotel”
We stayed for a long weekend in August. We really enjoyed it. We definitely will stay again.
“Will Definately Go Back!”
When we arrived we couldn't believe how pretty the hotel was and the location on the bay was great! There is nothing negative I can say about the hotel. The people were very attentive when we were at the pool. They would follow you with a chair cover and put that on for you and then lay out your towel. They were always walking around available for any of your needs. The people at the front desk were extremely accomodating, we ran out of toilet paper and they were at our door in less that n 5 minutes. They offered a gondola ride on the bay (for a fee) and it was a great way to see the water, the amazing houses and the area around the Loews. I would highly recommend this hotel. We would definatley go back!!
“Was a wonderful experience”
Hotel staff were the best, very thoughtful and accomodating. Consistently went above and beyond. Lovely grounds/gardens and water views. Shuttle service nice, but getting to San Diego was a bit more challenging.
“Nous y retournerons dès que possible ...”
Tout simplement génial ! Allez y !
“Great vacation spot”
This place is amazing and can't wait to go back. We came here for a girls weekend and loved every minute of it. Even though this is a family resort there were not tons of kids. I think it is great that they have an adults only pool area for those of us who don't want to be around kids while on vacation. While at the pool, the staff bring you great treats throughout the day (frozen small towels infused with lavendar, frozen grape kabobs, sample smoothies, sun screen, etc). We had a couple of services at the spa and those were great too. Room service was great, whenever we needed something the front desk was right on it, staff is very friendly. A little disappointed that we didn't have a microwave or fridge. We had a mini bar and you could have it emptied for $10 or pay $10/day for a fridge to be placed in your room.
