“OK but would not recomend to someone I meant to impress.”

The cleanliness was superb, the access to the hotel from a busy boulevard was aquard and the exit from the site allowed only a right turn. The person atr the register counter seemed afraid to speak with the customers, and her attention wained when spoken to, all was ok, but there was no bottled water and the tap water had a bad taste. this hotel is accesible to panhandlers who watch the guests movements to peddle them, a security guard who does not sleep on the job would be an improvement.

“OK”

Definitely nothing special... but compared to the other options in Chula Vista, it's fine. Don't count on getting breakfast quickly...lines were impossible and we went to Denny's (right next door).

“Location is perfect!”

The hotel is very clean. I loved the continental breakfast. You can make your own waffles. There is a Denny's right next to the hotel in case you oversleep. Overall very satisfied with our stay.

“satisfactory”

This was an older motel. The room was accessed from an outside balcony. It was clean and everything worked. Breakfast was served in the lobby and included cook-yourself wafftles. It was not great, but it was okay.

“Perfect location in south bay area”

The hotel was very comfortable and quiet. It's close to the freeway which makes it easy for traveling throughout the city. The staff is friendly and the wireless internet is a bonus. I will stay here again!

Old Town San Diego is amazing. Visit Old Town Mexican Cafe. Best food in town.

“Good value for the money=)”

The hotel was fine. The GPS had a little trouble finding the entrance, but we could see where to get in. I really enjoyed the large bathroom. I could go in with all my clothes/makeup and get ready for the day without waking my husband. We liked the location and the Denny's in the same parking lot for breakfast. We got up too late for the complimentary breakfast. The hotel is clean and comfortable.

Area recommendations

I liked the Chula Vista area because it there wasn't a busy traffic problem and everything we wanted to see was close. I have stayed downtown San Diego as well. Without a car, that was a good place to be.

“Wont go there again”

The hotel rooms were clean but definetly needed a good scrubbing. The staff was grumpy at check in. My parents TV screen was crooked and called down to staff but nothing was done about it. Basically the TV was broken, they knew about it and chose not to fix the problem.

“Reasonable hotel, not great neighborhood”

The La Quinta Inn in Chula Vista is next door to the Denny's and right off the freeway offramp. Unfortunately the neighborhood seems to attract some questionable characters. While the room was perfectly fine on the inside, the fact that this room opened up to an exterior hallway in a somewhat queestionable neighborhood would make me question whether I would return, desite the convenient location in relation to the friends that we were visiting.
