“small hotel, great location”
cute, small, perfect location..wonderful staff...even gave us an umbrella when it rained! Great continental breakfast brought to your room!
“To die for”
We had an oceanview room with sliding doors and a balcony. The weather was "to die for" after being in Texas and Arizona. So pleasant we slept with the sliding doors open listing to the ocean. This is an older hotel but very quaint with a terrace that has an amazing view. Very easy to walk to different places to eat and to the ocean.
“Can't wait to go back”
There was a suite available on our weekend stay and it was offered to us at a discounted rate because of remodeling being done to the room that was next door to our booked room. The hotel staff was completely concerned with our comfort and satisfaction relating to our hotel stay. The garden balcony is delightful and the continental breakfast was much more than we expected. This is an excellent location if your planning a visit to La Jolla.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Jolla Inn. We had an ocean view room that was clean and attractive. We were close to all that La Jolla has to offer. We will definitely stay there again.

“Business Trip that felt like Vacation”
The La Jolla Inn is more like a home than a hotel, but a home with great service! I recently stayed for 5 nights during a business trip to San Diego, and felt completely at home at the inn. The room I had opened to a side street and was a short walk to a lovely park, beach and seal cove. Street noise was not an issue. The snug room had a single queen-size bed, so it wouldn't be large enough for a family requiring a few beds. The bathroom was also serviceable for one or two people. The morning breakfast delivered to the room was such a time-saver for me, and it's included as part of your room fee. You have choices like cereal, muffins, croissants, coffee, tea, juice, etc., and receive more than enough to start your day. I would definitely return to the La Jolla Inn and have recommended it to others already.
“Great hotel”
Definitely would stay there again. Can't beat the price and quality for staying in the heart of La Jolla. Location is amazing! Can see the ocean from the balcony (stayed in the Ocean View Room). One block from the water. Also, in the heart of La Jolla so you can walk to all the great restaurants, art galleries, and stores. The room is a little small, but it was very quaint, clean, and nice. Bed is very comfortable. TV is small, but you shouldn't be staying in your room watching TV in La Jolla. A lot to see! The complimentary continental breakfast is great! Overall, think nice bed and breakfast style. If you want something super elaborate, this is probably not the hotel for you. But if you want something super elaborate you will also pay three or four times more. Better to save your money for some of the great restaurants.
“Great hotel and fabulous staff!”
This will be my LaJolla stop whenever I get to town! I did have some noise from a restaurant across the street but staff quickly worked to get things quieted down. Lovely, quaint but small rooms. Fabulous location! Don't forget to have breakfast and read your complimentary newspaper on the roof sun deck! I congratulate the staff on creating a truly European experience!
“Value for money”
Thought this place was quite nice - well situated within La Jolla - and was very happy with the helpfulness of the staff. Walls are quite thin, there privacy can be a bit compromised and parking isn't great, but then it's not very easy to get parked in la jolla in any case. at least they have made provisions for guests. would definitely stay here again.
“location location location”
Wonderful location- minutes from the coves; A bit annoying to have to park 2 blocks away but we didn't use our car at all since we came for the coves. Breakfast on the rooftop was not punctual (we ordered ahead) but was very pleasant. Room didn't have much of a view, but was cozy and well appointed with a small table and fridge. Bring your own toiletries- they charge an arm and a leg for toothpaste/toothbrush etc. if you forgot yours at home... Would definitely come back.
