The La Costa Resort and Spa offers two 18-hole PGA championship golf courses, 17 tennis courts, a lavish spa, pro shops, five outdoor pools, and an athletic club. Camp La Costa offers supervised programs for children.
Dining options include Legends Bistro and the BlueFire Grill, both with outdoor seating. The 42,000-square-foot spa includes the Spa Café, offering wine and refreshments to guests indulging in spa treatments.
The resort's conference center and ballroom offer 50,000 square feet of event space. An equal amount of outdoor space, amid landscaped gardens, is popular for weddings. The resort offers wireless Internet access throughout public areas (cost included in resort fee).

This 400-acre resort in northern San Diego offers 610 guestrooms in two- and three-story Spanish-style buildings. Rooms are accessible via open-air corridors and elevators.
Newly renovated guestrooms and suites feature new furnishings; rich woods; crisp, white linens; multiple phones with voice mail; and flat-screen TVs with pay movies and video games (surcharge). A daily resort charge entitles guests to high-speed Internet access and toll-free, credit card, and local access calls. Amenities include bathrobes, in-room safes, coffeemakers, and minibars.

The resort offers numerous recreational opportunities, including two 18-hole PGA championship golf courses, 17 tennis courts with two playing surfaces, an athletic club with yoga and other classes, seven outdoor pools, and a 42,000-square-foot spa and salon. Kidtopia offers activities to children, and Vibz video game lounge provides a hangout for teens.
The resort is two miles from Carlsbad beach. A seasonal beach shuttle is available.

“Very nice resort”
We stayed for 4 nights, rooms were super clean, hotel has been renovated really nicely, beautiful yard and amazing tennis courts. Fantastic resort for golf players. The only thing is breakfast which was ridiculously expensive, you'd better to have breakfast at the broken yolk restaurant which is in a walking distance of the resort. There is also no microwave inside the room and self parking is quite far from most of the rooms. Generally speaking very pleasant resort and fantastic place to relax and to play tennis or golf.

The friendly and extremely helpful staff made our brief stay an absolute pleasure.

“We loved La Costa Resort!”
We had a great experience at the hotel. We went for the weekend with our 3 year old and 4 month old. The room was perfect, very clean and nice. The patio was great for our 3 year old and the bathroom was wonderful (huge jacuzzi tub). We had a great time at the pool, slides and jacuzzi. It was not crowded at the pool which was a welcome change to what we encounter at other hotels in the area. We would definitely come back.
“weekend trip”
This was a perfect place to go for a relaxing, quiet weekend. Lots of fun for the kids, great for families or couples. I did not have a chance to take advantage of the yoga etc. due to an injury, but would plan to go back and include the spa/fitness/golf amenities.
“Best Value on Expedia”
I ran a last minute check of air/hotel/rental car packages, and this hotel came up within a very reasonably priced package. I had no expectations other than to know the reputation of this resorts parent company. I was pleasantly surprised at the beauty and the extremely peaceful atmosphere. The staff was also exceptionally professional and polite. The courtyard had a small easy listening jazz ensemble playing, and the location was great. It was within 45 minutes of the southern San Diego excursions, and very close to things like Leggoland and Wild Animal Park. It is a luxury resort, so be ready for the nickle and dime fees for resort services, and higher priced dinners/drinks, etc. However, off resort meals/bars are close by in Carlsbad/La Costa.

Very, very nice resort. They did a wonderful job of having luxurious, up-to-date rooms while maintaining the beautiful, historic exterior. We enjoyed the setting, pools, gym, etc.

It was a very nice hotel and golf course! They would not let my 6 1/2 year old go on the water slide. she was an inch too short.
“Experience La Costa”
This was my first time at La Costa Resort & Spa. The staff-from the valet to Concierge, was excellent. Our Plaza Suite was well-appointed. Big-screen HD tv, free internet and huge bath tub to name a few. Although there was A/C in the room, I only wished that there were fans/venting system in the bathroom. It got quite warm. All that to say, I would still definitely come back.
