“Very impressed by genuinely nice employees!!”

The woman at check-in was very nice and even gave us vouchers for free coffees. We ordered room service twice and the employees were great. The hotel was very impressive as far as the common areas. The room was fairly basic but very comfortable and quiet.

“Fantastic Hotel!”

Great city and a great place to stay.

Area recommendations

La Jolla is a gret area to explore. Torrie Pines handglider port. Shopping on La Jolla. Tons of great restaurants.

Must see

Love to watch the Para sailers at Torrey Pines. Very close to this hotel.

“nice place”

Beautiful architecture and a friendly staff combine to make a stay here relaxing and enjoyable. Service was marred by one employee with an attitude, but amply corrected by a caring management.

Area recommendations

Downtown waterfront---beautiful yacht anchorage at the convention center makes for a lovely area in which to walk, stroll or jog. Quality fish restaurants abound, La Jolla-- high rent district with a lovely setting of clean residential areas and interesting restaurants.

“not to hyatt standards”

The Hotel is fairly clean but in need of upgrading. Rooms don't have coffee makers or mini fridge and those are standards at upper end hotels. Staff was quick to deliver on request. This really isn't a four star hotel but the price through expedia made it a very good value compared to others at the same price point.

Stay within walking distance of the beach if you can find a hotel with reasonable rates.

“Lovely but limited conveniences”

The hotel is beautiful and the staff was great. My only criticism is that it was difficult to find easy to access and reasonable dining options. The restaurant in the holel closes at 2pm. There are three restaurants across the street, but they seemed to be on the high end. I arrived at 9pm and couldn't even find a vending machine for a quick snack. Room service is an option, but I found it to be on the expensive side. I suppose it does fit in with the location. San Diego is not an inexpensive place to visit.

“A Wonderful Find!”

We enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The staff made us feel so welcome and the rooms were so comfortable. The bedding made us feel like we were in a spa and by the way, our spa experience was wonderful. Having the heated pool with designated lap lanes was a special perk and so was Perk's coffee and snacks in the hotel lobby. We will be plannning another stay soon at this Hyatt location!

Area recommendations

Don't miss Girard Deli for the best homemade food! Walking along La Jolla Cove and the beach front is a treat. There are many seals and pelicans. Shopping in downtown La Jolla is great. They have wonderful name brand and boutique stores. Old Town is a 20 minute drive away and has wonderful food and night life.

“Great Hotel”

Quite area, great location far from traffic, amazing room, One thing happend to us which is not that big deal, they delay like half hour for my midnight dinner mean its take around 1:15 mins after my call Overall great to book

“"Could not have been happier with the hotel"”

Seldom do you find a hotel that lives up to the billing. This one certainly does. The staff was the most helpful of any staff I have encountered. I travel to at least three vacation destinations each year and I found this location one of the finest.

Area recommendations

Old Town San Diego. Great history, as well as good food. Good shopping also.
