“Close to airport....”

It wasn't the best hotel but good enough to stay. Wasn't as bad as I thought or dirty.

“If I don't have money ok I will return. It is ok for the money I paid.”

If I did not have these inconveniences that would be a great hotel to stay for the amount of money that I paid. I had breakfast and internet.

Area recommendations
Everywhere was nice in Dan Diego. Sea World, definitely!
Outdoors or beach
every place was surrounded by the beach.

“Traveler from Jordan”

Nice hotel, pleasent employees! The maneger and the employees were so nice! The trolly station which takes wherever you want is about 1 km from the hotel. It takes you around 30 minutes from the hotel to the center of the city (including walking to the trolly station)

“not impressed, would not go back”

Room was not what I expected by the pictures on the website. Air condition did not work one night. I would never stay at a HJ ever again.

“Perfectly Adequate”

Didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel but everything was perfectly adequate. It's pretty close to a bus route that goes to the convention center (maybe a 10 minute bus ride) and a few blocks from one of the trolley stops. Wi-Fi internet worked great though the password apparently changes occasionally so if it stops working go to the front desk. If you're not too picky and don't plan on spending too much time in the hotel you could do worse than this place.

“U get what u pay for”

Hookers in front of hotel and coming and going throughout the late night, floor was not vacuumed in corners of all room and smelled like urine on the side of the head of the bed...(scarey) had to buy candles and Bleach and still couldn't get the smell out. I guess u get what u pay for

“Don't stay here, it smelled of smoke!!!!”

It smelled like smoke and the hotel was in a creepy neighborhood. Not a great place to stay, but we stayed here cuz it was a last minute trip.

“Would stay here again”

We stayed at this motel for a week well in San Diego and only had one problem with it and that was the cleaning of the rooms. Some days it was super clean and other days nothing had been wiped down, the towels were just thrown and the bed look like the sheet had just been thrown over the bed.

“Good Value”

We stayed at the Howard Johnson Express for two nights before taking a Mexican cruise. We rented a vehicle at the airport and found the hotel easily. It was just off the I 5 but we were not bothered by noise. The staff was very friendly and helpful and gave us their own personal guide of things to do in San Diego. The breakfast was good enough to start the day and was always fresh...coffee,juice, milk, cereals, toast and muffins. There was a fridge in the room and also a mircowave. The front office let me use their computer to check in with home. I would stay there again.
