“One of the best at the beach for the money”

My company does a lot of events at the Del Mar fairgrounds. The hotels are either old and sandy or very expensive. This hotel was affordable, clean, safe and had a good breakfast. Our company will use them from now on.

Only complaint was the housekeeping kept turning on the air conditioning and the tepmerature outside was in the 70's. Otherwise, good stay.

I canceled a hotel that cost more than three times as much (breakfast separate, too!) to stay here instead to save my client money. I got a clean quiet room where I got to work and sleep as much as I needed, and even got free breakfast. Couldn't complain, while my client who stayed at the other expensive hotel said it was just totally overpriced and was not worth it.

“Extremely satisfied”

This was a wonderful hotel to stay at. Very clean, friendly staff, fine continental breakfast...and all at a price far below surrounding hotels. The only issue I had was that the bed was a little hard for me...but hey everyone's different and I still slept well. Despite other reviews I found the highway noise to be very minimal and for the convenience of location it was well worth the teeny bit of noise I heard. I will definately stay here again.

“Best in plow price in North county, the Hojo in encinitas”

I have stayed in all the "value" hotels in north county. The HOJO off the I 5 and Leucadia is the best for comfort and value. The neighborhood is very safe. Easy access. Free breakfast and friendly staff who make the stay easy. Parking lot gets full very quick post 10pm. i am at this Hojo in encinitas at least once every 2 months. Great service. Go for the top floor facing away from the freeway. Some of the rooms have a very loud air conditioner...other than that... never had a problem. Room has fridge, microwave, TV, all the towels you need. The cleaning staff is always great.

“Great Value”

For the price, it was great. Clean, lots of pillows, a fridge and microwave, and even though it is right next to the highway, the room was quiet. Just couldn't find a tv remote control.
