LOUNGEsix - A rooftop poolside bar with views of the San Diego skyline and Petco Park. Cocktails and light fare are served throughout the day; at night, the bar offers cabana seating and fire pits.
Recreation
A 13,000-square-foot deck on the fourth floor houses an outdoor splash pool with teak lounge chairs, cabanas, and a poolside bar. Open 24 hours, the adjacent fitness center provides an elliptical machine, a treadmill, a stationary bicycle, a Universal gym, free weights, and exercise balls. Flat-screen TVs and headphones are mounted on each cardio machine.
One mile away, the Embarcadero recreation area has jogging trails and bike, boat, and kayak rentals. Within two miles of the hotel, the 1,200-acre Balboa Park has two golf courses and a driving range, 13 museums, and the San Diego Zoo. Surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, and other water activities are available at local beaches and Mission Bay Aquatic Park, eight miles from the hotel.

“Great Hotel in Gas Lamp District”
Lovely Hotel in great location. Close to Gas Lamp District and Petco Park. Can walk to USS Midway or take a quick taxi ride. Staff were helpful. Hotel was very nice.

Great location, great service, great rooftop pool and lounge area, and great overall experience! The room is a bit on the small side as you might expect in a downtown area hotel but I think this hotel is tough to beat if you want to be near Gaslamp shopping and restaurants or the baseball stadium.

Staff was proactive and went above and beyond the call of duty. Rooms were not only clean, they were well layed out. The amenities were well above standard and even the hallways were exceptionally clean.

The entire hotel was fun, stylish, and unique. We arrived right when they were doing their wine hour in the very comfy lobby. It was a really nice glass of wine to take up to our room. The room was nice, only a few very minor complaints I'd only think to mention because this is a review: 1) the bathroom sinks are cool looking but a little impractical. They make it difficult to splash water over your face. The robe in the closet was hilarious (leopard print), but 2) it had a hole in the armpit. I actually bought a new one though to take home. 3) In general I am not a fan of the Lodgenet TVs that limit a customers ability to use it. I like bringing my AppleTV with me on my travels and have the ability to stream from my iPad to the TV, but these types of TVs common in hotels limit your ability to switch inputs. Again, these are very minor things that I only mention because everything else was top notch. The service should be praised above everything else, from the front desk, to the different valet attendants, everyone was very helpful, informative, and friendly without being annoyingly overt about it. It was my first experience at a Klimpton hotel, but I would definitely go out of my way to stay with them again.
