“Great View Above the 6th Floor (Bayside)”
Great room -- I didn't feel it was small like other people have stated. Nice TV, HBO, Free WiFi with passcode provided by front desk that you can browse in room. The bathrooms were clean and new and the carpets were very clean.
The view was great above the sixth floor and higher in the south tower but if you go lower than that, your view is obscured by the four floors in the tower facing the road and the rest of the bay.
I lost a pen because I dropped it on the patio of the balcony and it rolled off the balcony. From then on, I was a little frightened to go on the balcony because there was no bumpers for the guardrails to keep other things from rolling off. The wind was pretty fierce this time of year too but that is GREAT for the WONDERFUL sailboat races that I got to enjoy from my bayside view.
The concierge desk was always friendly and helpful each time I visited them and the shuttle driver was also friendly.
Area recommendations
This is a good neighborhood -- I felt generally safe but there were about 3-5 homeless people each mile that you walked. It was obvious there were many individuals whom the poor economy has affected in this neighborhood. I ran at night and felt comfortable as long as I kept my eyes open.
There were not many national brand stores or places to buy durable goods in the immediate area but rather, had a concentration of family run stores for food and crafts. Just a drug store or quick mart would have been great to have seen in the area so I could get a toothbrush!
