“Nice place. Great rate and convenient”

We had to go to Palomar Hospital and needed a close place to stay. This filled the bill without problem. Clean & comfortable room, nice staff and the complimentary breakfast was good and constantly replenished.

“pleasant stay”

We enjoyed our stay. We expected our beds to be bigger, but that was our mistake for assuming they would be bigger. The breakfast was free and yummy.

“Need to Upgrade hotel Wi-fi access points!!!”

The "Wireless Internet" service was completely unacceptable. The connection was slower than dial-up. We required internet access to work during down-time, however it was quite painful when trying to establish a consistent connection. The only way to achieve this was by sitting in the main lobby. Usually till 1am when user activity was decreased. Almost impossible to get a connection from our room. (even after moving rooms to be closer to the main modem.) This problem could easily be remedied by adding a couple of extra wi-fi access points. Other than this all other aspects of the hotel were excellent!

“Be wary...”

The hotel's air conditioning was horrible. The room had a funky, lingering smell that wouldn't go away. Besides that, the location was good. It was close to everything. Not the best hotel, glad we stayed only one night.

“Too bad there was construction next door”

The hotel was wonderful, but there was construction across the parking lot that started at 6 am each morning. This really deterred from the enjoyment of our stay.

“It was okay for one night, but we wouldn't go back.”

We weren't very impressed. The hotel is not kept up as well as others in its class and the pool was more like the size of a jacuzzi it was so tiny. The room was the smallest one we've ever had. Since it was only one night and we were going to the Wild Animal Park early the next morning we made the best of it.

“All the rooms are extremely small. Clean but......”

My husband and I stayed here with our baby. We have stayed in Holiday in Express before and expected to stay in a regular size room. We walked into the room and immediatly were shocked at the size of the room. We had about 2 feet from the edge of the beds to the very oversized armoir that housed the tv and also acted as the "closet". We were waiting for the crib to be delivered and in the mean time I called the front desk to see if they had a larger room because where were we going to put the crib. When I called the front desk they said it was the only size room they had. I asked the lady where are we supposed to have the baby sleep and she said, "maybe you should have her sleep on the other (double) bed.".. I said, "you have got to be kidding me that I should have my 5 month old infant sleeping in the other bed." (Wow..)The hotel was clean, the beds were really nice. The free breakfeast was good. Oh and one other thing.. The elevator was extremely small, sounds funny but it was so small we had a hard time getting two of us in with luggage. I would be very concerned with a wheelchair being able to fit into the elevator.

“Moldy shower, didn't drain”

The room was very small. The shower did not drain, and had mold. although it looked updated the room was not well maintained. The pool was cold and the jazzui was broken and dirty. For the price not what I expected. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good.

“not what it should have been”

The Hotel wes clean and the employees were pleasent and helpful. The out side ?exterior of the hotel was in need of repair and a good paint job. the heated(?) pool. when my grand daughters lips turned blue i made them get out, if it was heated it was at 45-50 degrees. The spa was not working was half full of disgusting green water with trash in it and when asked about was told it was not avab and would not be fixes any time soon. their was a homeless person sleeping in the vacant lot next door.
