“Very Nice Hotel”

For us the hotel was in a perfect location to the different venues we needed to be at for the weekend. Having breakfast each morning before heading out made it easier to get things done. I would certainly recommend the hotel to others as well as stay there again on future trips.

“Good Location”

We were in town for a wedding at a local winery. This location was very close to where we were going and accessible to the freeway. The hotel sits in a parking lot with a few fast food restaurants and across the street from other restaurants, so the location is great. We did go to the Wild Animal Park which is about 10 minutes away. The breakfast buffet was okay. It was very crowded but the food was refilled up until the time it closed. We did go to the pool, which was pleasant. This hotel was exactly what we needed it to be...good location, clean rooms, nice amenities.

“Home away from home!”

We traveled 600 miles from Utah to meet with family. The two-room suite was perfect for our 5 night stay and accommodated a family meeting with the help of guest services providing extra chairs for us. Apart from a hiccup with our room keys half way through our visit, we were VERY pleased!

“Great Hotel But!!!”

The Hotel was a very nice place to stay at on this business trip... However, the biggest and most important problem that I experienced was the front desk forgot to set my wake-up call for 7am. This in return caused me to almost miss my flight!! I made it to the airport with not time to spare and almost missed boarding. Because of this I consider the experience bad only because the most important thing is to make sure your patrons are woken up upon request!!

“Never going back there!”

We booked this hotel since it was near the San Diego Wild Animal Park. We were very disappointed when we got there. The area surrounding the hotel was not too great first of all. They had homeless people in their parking lot. We requested 2 beds and they were "full/double" size which is super small and also the bed/pillows were super uncomfortable. We had our baby with us and a 7 yr. old and we had to bring our "pack in play" which barely fit. We couldn't even walk in the room. The room was also just very plain and ugly. We got no sleep at night due to the beds being awful and also the noise from upstairs. The people above us weren't doing anything wrong...just them walking was noisy. I complained the next morning and to the hotel personnel and they didn't seem to care. Also the continental breakfast the next day was gross. I see why it's free. I would never stay there again and also would have 2nd thoughts about staying at another Holiday Inn period.

“Moldy shower, didn't drain”

The room was very small. The shower did not drain, and had mold. although it looked updated the room was not well maintained. The pool was cold and the jazzui was broken and dirty. For the price not what I expected. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good.

Area recommendations

We found a great Mexican Rest. Cocina de Cuza. LV,LV,LV but, Olive Garden was dirty. Nice little town, tons of stores great location to Wild Animal Park. and Del Mar.
