Hotel accommodations are adequate but the personnel is very helpful and the location is just great -- a mile from the Del Mar racetrack with the Amtak-racetrack shuttle stopping just in front.

We went to Solano Beach for an over nighter. The room was comfortable, breakfast was more than we expected and the staff was informative. We want to go back and spend a couple days enjoying the city and local business.

I really enjoy my stays at this Holiday Inn. I was a little disappointed, though, when they could not accommodate me with late check out during this last visit. I would like to recommend shuttle service to the nearest airport. I will stay here again, however.

Great stay, the only complaint I have is they only offer Pepsi products in the vending machines. Some people like Coke products too.

“CA get-away”

Our daughter suggested we stay here since she had done business with them in the past. It was very easy to get to and we were able to walk to the beach and watch the waves-something special since we're from MN and had left below 0 temps and lots of snow at home. There were shops nearby. My daughter and granddaughter had their nails done soon after we arrived. The Del Mar Race Track and fairgrounds was very close and has events going on quite regularly. Our CA daughter had her wedding in the park in Del Mar overlooking the ocean. That was no more than 10 minutes away from the hotel so she got ready in our room. The breakfasts were incredible. Parking was located under the hotel. The hotel had tickets to Sea World at a discount. All around - very nice!!

“NOTHING FANCY BUT WILL DO”

Check in was fine. Room was nothing special, the slider to the balcony overlooking the detail shop next door did not double lock. The handle locked but the bolt slider in the top of the door did not hook. Also, the black out drapes were only two panels on either side of the slider. Only sheers covered the window. I wasn't 100% sure of the freshness of the sheets and pillows on the first night. The Continental breakfast was varied and pretty good. Very attentive staff in breakfast room.
