“Close to the Del Mar Fair grounds.”
Staff was very helpful with my needs, I only booked one night, but realized I needed another night and they helped me out with getting a room for an additional night, even though they were almost completely booked.
“Solana Beach - HIE”
Very nice and very friendly.
“I will come back to this hotel”
Very satisfied with overall customer service. I just hope that next time they will be better prepare if a power blackout ever happens, needs to iluminate aisles to rooms, and install some type of emergency lights inside the rooms. O and also make sure that the temperature of the hot water is hot and not cold like how it was on friday ( 09-09-2011) at 4.00 AM. I Know it was not your fault, but please be better prepared next time.
“near the beach”
I found this hotel very nice and convenient to the beaches, great parking area, close to some great delicious eating.
“Great location, but unrenovated”
This hotel is in an awesome location. There is local beach access for surfing and laying out and there is a lifeguard on duty. The staff was very nice but it was a holiday weekend and there weren't any other rooms available for us until the next day. So, we spent the first night in a regular room. The carpet was old and smelly. My husband in particular was not happy. The pool area is very average and small. This is an express hotel, so understand that it's probably just for the traveler that needs a quick night with no extras. We are a family of 5 and to stay there for a week just didn't make sense for us. They did offer a suite that would be 2 bedrooms, but my husband looked at it and it was more of the same only bigger....so we left after one night.
“Located in a nice area and easy access to anywhere in Southern California”
Unfortunately we spent very little time at the hotel. We had a very nice room for the price, very clean and comfortable. It was located very close to the beach which we only had time to glimpse once. The free breakfast was nice and those cinnamon rolls were awesome. I thinks my kids each had seconds and thirds. I would love to return here for some beach time.
“Clean place, reasonably priced”
Decent room, good hot breakfast, good coffee, walking distance to a public access beach. I didn't try the pool.
“let me think”
It was not possible to sleep and rest well. My room was in the second floor and there was a lot of noise from 11 pm to 3:00 am over my room in the third floor like people was making a party: they was running in the third floor from one side to another side with a lot of music, until I complained at 2:30 am at the information desk.
“Loved Solana Beach”
We were traveling for business and pleasure and knew nothing about the area. Very pleased with the experience and will definitely return. Room price was great. We stayed 4 days. Service was very attentive. Rooms clean and comfortable. Our balcony was too small to sit on comfortably and enjoy, but great for viewing the immediate area. Loved Solana Beach - the accessibility to the beach / other areas near by. Hotel parking was great. Able to walk to many places. Nice relaxing place. Very friendly and responsive employees. Breakfast daily with a very considerate person who assisted with anything you may need.
“Overall good”
Overall a good stay considering the close beach
