“Great Hotel”

We were a bit leery about staying at the Hilton at Torrey Pines because of a bad experience at a Hilton in San Francisco. When we arrived, the hotel was extremely busy with a conference. The staff were courteous and met our request to have a room on one of the upper floors. The Bell Desk stored our luggage until the room was available and the Concierge made our reservation for dinner. We were very pleased with our room overall. It was good size and the beds were comfortable. The cabinet where the fridge used to be had not been cleaned in a very, very long time. There were other small signs around the hotel that the place is due for some cleaning and painting. Overall, the serenity and clean air of Torrey Pines was a welcome change from downtown San Diego. We would definitely return.

Try Jakes in Del Mar or the Chart House in Cardiff by the Sea.

“Have already recommended this to friends”

I was playing in a golf tournament at Torrey Pines the next day . The Hotel was right next to the golf course and I could walk over. The room was very nice and the price was great. We also had our holiday luncheon their after the tournament and it was awesome.

Hotel is beautiful....located on a cliff side in La jolla...village is only a few minutes away and san diego is 20 min away....great ocean views...rooms are roomy and have golf course views.

“Great Value for a Getaway Weekend”

Really nice location with wonderful facilities. We often stay here to visit local Breweries. The views are somewhat limited, but for the price it's hard to beat. A great place to stay with access to San Diego without having to be in the city. They often have conventions taking place, so make sure you request a room away from the dance halls. The King Sized bed was luxurious with high thread count sheets and six feather pillows. You can get robes upon request. Shower head is amazing with good pressure. Everything you would expect from a Four Star hotel. We didn't try any of the food, but the restaurant is beautiful. Keep in mind they charge nightly for self parking, but most hotels do in this area.

“Great value.”

The hotel was clean and very comfortable. We got it for an amazing price and would be very happy to go back again. Would recommend you eat off site as the food was ok and pricey.

Area recommendations
Old Town is always a great place to spend some time. The Mission in downtown San Diego had a great breakfast but a long wait - worth it.

“hilton torrey pines”

This hotel is beautiful and in a beautiful location. Extremely clean and well maintaned. Staff was professional and friendly. They went out of their way to accomodate requests. Pool is kept warm which was nice because weekend we were there the fog did not lift all day. Just up the hill from UCSD and main shopping area for La Jolla CA. Only problem was cell phone reception could not get any. Would highly recommend.

“not going back”

Hallway smelled really bad and lots of dust bunny in the room. For what they charged, amenity's were few.

“Quick Get Away”

Great hotel in a great area. I would recommend it to anyone who wants luxury and amenities plus comfort and value!

“OK for last minute getaway or a business trip”

Great location. Bar and restaurant were nice. Pool was nice. The rooms are slightly outdated but clean. Hotel was very quiet for a weekend but that was good.

“Best location in Torrey Pines”

Beautiful hotel with beautiful views. Room was great and the staff very good. Location is close to the Torrey Pines Reserve, which offers excellent hiking trails all the way down to the beach.

Area recommendations
Loved the La Jolla and Torrey Pines area. Del Mar is a stones throw to the north and very nice.
