“Very nice hotel”

We love the hotel and would like to come back.

“Great hotel away from the Hustle and Bustle”

We picked this hotel do to the good reviews and that it was not situated in Downtown San Diego. It was a quick 25 minute drive from the airport (including getting lost at one point) and is literally 30 minutes away from everything we wanted to do. This included the harbor, the zoo, fine dining at Mister A's downtown(highly recommend for the view, Sea world, PCH, and several casinoes in the area. Overall the stay was pleasent with minimal noise and a very comfortable room. The only complaint I have is that the TV didn't have many channels. This really isn't that big of a complaint. Also they allowed a very early check in without prior notice, which I greatly appreciated. Overall a great hotel with easy access all of San Diego. Highly recoomend.

“Great hotel for Wild Animal Park”

We often have trouble finding decent hotels in the San Diego area (not sure why?), but this was a great find. It is close the freeway and the Wild Animal Park. The pool and hot tub are open 7am-11pm, which is great after a long day (or before a long day) at the Wild Animal Park. Do make sure that you don't get a room on the freeway side, however (we originally got one and then asked to change rooms, no problem). There is a 24 hour fitness center there as well.

“Great place to staty”

My wife and I stayed here while visiting friends in the area. There was construction going on next door but it was not bothersome. The room was spacious and very clean. We had our own food for breakfast so we did not eat in the breakfast area. It is not a continental breakfast. I think there was a $10 charge. They did have free coffee in the morning in the lobby. There is a nice place to eat next to the hotel, too.

“Pleasant and comfortable”

We enjoyed our visit to this hotel. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and pool area was nice. Easy walking to a couple of restaurants and convenient to I-15 though not so close that traffic noise was a problem. We would stay here again.

“Recommend for your SD stay”

I was in SD for a friend's wedding. I didn't spend a lot of time at the HGI except to crash at night, so I did not get to check out the available amenities. From check-in to returning in late most evenings, the room was always neat and kept. The folk's at the front desk were always kind and courteous (they were able to recommend a local eatery, arrange shuttle and car service, etc.). Breakfast at the hotel was offered but I did not take advantage of it. I did scope it out one morning and it looked pretty good. I could see the pool from my room and it looked clean and kept and was being utilized. I could also see that there was a gym, but I do not know the extent of the workout facility and what all it entailed. Overall, a great, clean place (oh, and no bed bugs!), and for a great value! I would definitely return!

“Verry nice stay at the Hilton Garden in Rancho Bernado”

Really nice and helpfull staff. Hotel is well kept, the pool is small but nice and clean. The hot tub was fantastic to relax after a day of activities. The hotel is about 25 to 35 min from all the major attractions and 10 min from the Wild animal park.
