“Great hotel, great location”

We were looking for a place to stay outside downtown, but still within easy reach of all the San Diego attractions. We had rented a car to get around and didn't want to pay extra each day just to park the car. The area is more commerciall as opposed to glamour. But if you're mainly looking for a great place to sleep and not a resort location, you can't beat this. Our room was immaculate, the staff extremely helpful, including pre-printed directions for several attractions and nearby shopping areas. I was a bit concerned with traffic noise, given the proximity to the freeway, but this was never an issue. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

“Hampton always good”

Hotel was great, breakfast in the morning, free internet. Room was beautiful, comfortable bed, big tv, everything we needed. Only minus was light in the bathroom, bed for makeup.

Check in was efficient and staff was very courteous and helpful. Hotel and room were very clean and breakfast was very good. Location was very convenient with easy access to freeways.

“Book through Hilton if you wanted to be treated better”

The hotel itself is very clean, the staff helpful and an easy location for pretty much anywhere in San Diego County that you may want to visit. On my final night's stay, however, the air conditioning unit went out--the fan blew very loudly but no cool air. Since it was my last night there and it was approximately 3 in the morning, I did not request to move rooms and the front desk person at that time said he would pass on the information to the manager and get it fixed. Upon checkout, I mentioned again about the air conditioning unit breaking in the middle of the night. She advised me that since I booked with Expedia there was absolutely nothing she could do for me. Wait a minute....I'm a good customer, and I have booked at your hotels before using your website and rather than confirm my continued use of your hotels, you won't even offer me a future discounted room or some other promo just because this time I chose to save myself $40 by booking with Expedia? That's ridiculous. Talk about bad word of mouth. I rarely write reviews but wanted to make sure it was known to everyone that uses this hotel how you would be treated if you book with Expedia.

What I liked about the hotel was the queitness, the fitness area, and the rooms with the plush beds and screen t.v. It was a pleasurable night stay there. I will recommend to others and stay again myself. It was better than some suites I have stayed in.
