The four- and five-story Grande Colonial La Jolla is one block from La Jolla Cove and six miles from the concentration of high-tech/biotech industries known as the Golden Triangle. Downtown San Diego is 12 miles away.

Grande Colonial Hotel features 93 nonsmoking guestrooms in the 5-story main building and 3 adjacent suite wings. Rooms offer contemporary furnishings, European-style decor, and large windows that open. Both air conditioning and ceiling fans are provided for cooling. Select suites feature fireplaces and full kitchens.
Beds feature goose-down bedding and bathrooms supply Gilchrist & Soames toiletries and Kashwere bathrobes. Among the additional amenities are 32-inch LCD TVs, iHome clock radios, and complimentary wired and wireless Internet access.

Dining
Nine-Ten: Located adjacent to the lobby, this contemporary, upscale restaurant and bar features ever-changing menus and a diverse award-winning wine list (including half-bottles and selections by the glass). Offers indoor, sidewalk patio, or oceanview terrace dining. Serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Happy Hour Mon - Fri. Three private dining rooms can accommodate 75 guests.
Room Service: Available from early morning until late evening.

“Beautiful La Jolla and the Colonial Grande”
I would recommend the hotel to family and freinds and I would stay here again on my next visit to La Jolla
“What's Not to Love?”
My only small complaint is the bed was a little too soft for my taste. Other than that, great staff, right in downtown LaJolla, beautifully appointed and charming rooms with plenty of space in them. We just loved this hotel! I'm sure it's the best boutique hotel in LaJolla. We will go there again next time we visit. Really top notch.
“One of the best hotels I ever stayed in!!!!”
Fantastic hotel.. The most cozy bed, beautiful decor, and a staff that was so pleasant.. The location is superb.. Right across from the beach, and all the great restaurants and shops in la jolla. My wife still is smiling..and that is the ultimate critic. We first tried to stay at a different hotel on paradise island, and it was a let down. We checked out, and moved to the Grand Colonial. Even though both hotels had the same star rating, the GC was light years better in ever fashion. I cannot recommend this hotel any more highly.. It will be our hotel of choice for years to come.
“They Won Me Over”
This was such an incredible hotel. Everything there was so clean and the service was great. All the staff was very willing to help you with anything they could, the whole staff was polite, and were very friendly. It is in a great location; shops, restaurants, and bars are within walking distance. It really was a very good hotel experience and I would definitely return.
“The Gem of La Jolla”
My new husband and I were on our honeymoon when we stayed at the Grande Colonial Hotel. The people who work there are just friendly and fun. The Nine Ten restaurant in the hotel had fabulous food and the bartenders at the bar were great. We always ended our evening at the Nine Ten restaurant bar because they knew who we were and they made us feel comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit this beautiful village of San Diego!!!
