“Great Place”
Great location and beautiful grounds. Very nice room had a wonderful stay. Will stay again.
“Good location and wonderful service”
The staff are friendly and helpful,and the room was clean. The swimming pool is amazing which is next to the beautiful flower field.My boy loves the breakfast buffet on facility,which provides a variety of food. It is two minutes walking distance from hotel to Legoland,but the gate to legoland parking lot is a little bit difficult to find because there is no sign on the sidewalk. The best part for me was the Carlsbad premium outlets which is only two minutes driving from hotel.

“Fantastic Stay”
I was not expecting much and just wanted somwhere close to Legoland for the weekend that was a step of from a motel. I was very surprised at how nice this hotel was for the price. Room was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and the lobby had a beautiful view of the adult pool and ocean. There is also a heated family pool with a small kiddy area with fountains and play toys which was nice for our 3 year old. A staff member making balloon animals for the kids was a nice added touch. BBQs and picnic areas are around the pool if you travel with your own food. Staff was helpful and friendly, loved that the Karl Strauss Brewery was walking distance as was Legoland (they do also provide a free shuttle) The food at K.S. was also surprisingly good, we ended up eating there 3 times. I would definately stay again at this hotel.
“Great location”
For Spring break (week of April 8, 2007) our family (2 adults and 3 kids) stayed in a 2 bedroom / 2 bath condo unit at the Grand Pacific Palisades Resort. The resort is conveniently located just across Legoland (we could walk to it). On the other side of the resort (the same block) is The Flower Fields (really beautiful). Just beyond The Flower Fields, on the west side is Carlsbad Premium Outlets (still in the same block, and within walking distance as well). Beyond The Flower Fields on the south side is Costco. There is a shopping square nearby that has both a grocery store (Ralphs) and a drugstore (Rite Aid). The beach is a very short drive just across the Interstate 5. The condo unit is comfortable and clean. The kitchen has full size appliances (fridge, dishwasher, oven/stove) as well as small appliances (microwave, blender, toaster), and is fully equipped (pots, pans, knives, plates, etc.). There is no washer/dryer within the condo unit, but there are laundry facilities in the resort. We saw two swimming pools: a family poo1 and a separate, quiet pool for adults only. We used the family pool, but did not get the chance to use the adult pool. There was a fitness room which we also didn't have time to use. The restaurant parking is on the street level, but the resort guest parking is underground (parking stalls were a bit tight for large vehicles). We plan to come back next Spring.
“Felt like I was Home!”
The travel season was not in but boy did we enjoy our stay! We went to Legoland for our son's third birthday. They have a shuttle that drops you off saving you $15 in parking plus the hassle! Priceless. The hotel was quite Luxorious for the price tag. The service was extraordinary and we were extremely satisfied with our stay. The adjacent restaurant Karl Strauss was a bonus. Great food and even better brewed beer. Would have loved to tried out the gorgeous Olympic sized pool but weather did not permit. We will definitely be back and HIGHLY recommend the Grand Pacific Palisades!
“Great for Kids”
We picked this hotel since it was very close to LegoLand and said it was family friendly. Both are very true. Kids loved the pool and water play area after a day at the park. Mom and Dad liked the Brew Pub with takeout.
“A fun, family friendly resort”
Resort was beautiful and well maintained. Our room was right near the family pool and the water park. They also had a small play area on the other side of the family pool. My only complaint was that they only cleaned our room on Tuesday and Thursday. We had a 2 room suite. For the amount of money we paid to stay here, we really should have gotten daily service. If you wanted daily service, it was additional. Other than this, this is really a nice place to stay.
“Will use again and again.”
Rooms were immaculate, we even had a micro-wave, mini-frig and sink all in this spacious room. A laundry facility was available, a game room for kids (keep up with new games) and a recreation room with air hockey, foosball, and ping pong were all on site, there was even a basketball court, all available to use. Rooms were even equipped with a dvd player and you get week day newspaper delivered to your door. Hotel even has a shuttle service and very knowledgable concierge staff. Free coffee in lobby every morning. WHAT A GREAT DEAL!!!!
