“Impressed”
Comfortable rooms, I was surprised that the rooms were cleaned well. Very satified for the price.
“Not Impressed”
The hotel was a bare minimum experience. I was shocked that there was no iron or ironing board and that in order to obtain one (a mini version at that) I had to pay a deposit that I would recieve back upon check out. Just strange. There was no coffee maker, no fridge... basically, bed, old TV, sink, toilet and shower. Now, it WAS clean, cool and neat. For that I was grateful.
“Excelent for the price!!!”
Excelent hotel. I surely recomand it!
“Great central location on I5 in Chula Vista”
Great central location on I5 in Chula Vista for those who are going to be in south San Diego County. Front desk people were extremely courteous and helpful. This might not be a location that single women would find real comfortable, but there are far worse neighborhoods. (The closest thing thing to the hotel is the Chula Vista Nature Reserve 1/2 block away.) And the trolley station is approximately a one block walk away. For the price it is a good value.
“Getting locked out”
1st, I had to reset card to to enter gate to parking lot 3 times. Which meant I had to back up onto a busy street. 2nd, I know there is a shortage of jobs in CA but is there also a shortage of toilet paper. When I went to the front desk to get a roll, he did not have key to supply closet and told me I had to wait until 8am. I traveled from the east coast so my internal clock is set differently. I had to go buy a roll. Ofcourse I got locked out wwhen I came back. See above. 3rd When I went to complain at checkout the receptionist gave a card to contact the manager. There wasno name. And by her demeanor it appeared she did'nt really care. This must be an ongoing issue. First and last time I stay there
“Chula Vista Trip”
The first room smelled of smoke really bad and I smoke. The bed had a permenant bow in the middle of it and the shower had more water coming out of the spout then the shower and almost flooded the tub. The second room, the fridge made a loud noise, no caulk in the tub and you could hear the neighbors thru the wall with the tv turned up really loud. Also found a bug on the table when we came back from dinner, not sure if it was a bed bug or cockroach. I left it smashed under the Pepsi cap and told them when I checked out where they could find their pet.
“cheap n cozy, near trolley”
4 mins walk from trolley station, accessible off highway, secure parking, you could leave your car here for multiple nights if you so wish, has a swimming pool
“Surprisingly Clean”
I was very happy with the services I received from staff. They were very accommdating and friendly. Even though this is just a small motel, the rooms including the bathroom were cleaner than the the other hotel I stayed for the previous 2 nights and the rate was lower.
“Basic - great if you are not looking for luxury”
The main advantage of the hotel is its location, in my opinion - right off the 5. I was there for a convention in downtown, and this hotel made it easy to jump on the road without having to pay the extravagant cost of a hotel closer to the convention center. The other plus to highlight was the very friendly girl at the front - she was helpful and sweet, a rarity in budget hotels I've found! The room was clean, and had all basic necessities. I would definitely not stay for pleasure/vacation but is fine for those just coming through town or staying for business and looking for a cheap room. I liked having a mini-fridge and the bed was comfortable enough - I could've used a nicer/more pillows but not a big deal for me. The continental breakfast is nothing to write home about (just muffins and beverages) but it was nice to have something to grab in the morning. The walls are paper-thin as others have reported, but as I said I just needed a place to crash after a long day so it didn't bother me. I felt very safe, and the balconies are well-lit. If you are not expecting luxury I think this is a perfectly adequate place to stay!
