Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa has 210 guestrooms in a three-story building that wraps around landscaped courtyards. Rooms offer wireless and wired high-speed Internet access (surcharge for both), premium channels, laptop-compatible safes, two multi-line phones (one cordless), minibars, and coffeemakers.
Bedding includes down comforters and wool throw blankets. Bathrooms have marble countertops, bathrobes, makeup mirrors, and designer toiletries. Many rooms have balconies or patios with garden or courtyard views.

Dining
Adobe El Restaurante - Offering indoor or patio dining in a casual, rancho-style setting. The menu blends Southern California and rancho cuisine, with an emphasis on seafood, bold flavors, and locally grown ingredients. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Bodega Wine Bar - Adjacent to Adobe El Restaurant, this relaxed lounge serves small plates and appetizers, cocktails, and an extensive selection of California wines.
Mustangs & Burros - A casual bar with wood floors, exposed ceiling beams, and leather chairs. Offering indoor and patio seating, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and flat-screen TVs. The menu includes appetizers, signature margaritas, and other specialty cocktails. A flamenco guitarist plays Wednesday through Sunday evenings.
Pool Bar - A seasonal bar offering cocktails and light fare poolside.
Recreation
The hotel's fitness room has free weights, strength-training equipment, and a dozen cardiovascular machines, including treadmills, elliptical machines, and stationary bikes. Most machines have flat-screen TV monitors. Yoga and other fitness classes are available (surcharges apply). A sundeck houses a 60-by-25-foot pool, a large spa tub, hammocks, and cabanas. In addition to a range of treatments, the health spa provides organized programs (surcharge) for children and adults, including movie nights, trail adventures, and arts and crafts.
The hotel is four miles from La Jolla Cove, popular with scuba divers and snorkelers. Torrey Pines Golf Course, 1.5 miles away, offers two 18-hole courses, a golf shop, driving range, and pro instruction.

“Relaxing stay”
The two queen size bed can comfortably fit in my family of four (2 adults + 2 kids). Very close to Torrey Pines, beach, La Jolla downtown and reasonably close to zoos, seaworld and legoland. We had very good experience.
“Our 2-day stay at the Estancia La Jolla”
We stayed here on a visit to tour UC San Diego, so it was super convenient--just a short 5 minute car ride to the campus. The grounds of this hotel are beautifully landscaped and well maintained. The restaurants were lovely too. We had wonderful breakfasts and a nice dinner during our stay. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi also.

The bathroom was very nice/updated. Great amenities and comfortable bed, pillows and sheets. The grounds were beautifully manicured. Very nice pool area and full service spa and the restaurants were excellent. We had a chance to eat at each restaurant on premises and were pleasantly surprised by both. Highly recommend Mustangs & Burros on the premises. Lovely atmosphere (fireplaces abound) and fantastic food - we had the chicken nachos, sangria and skirt steak with jalapeno mac and cheese.

“Impressed”
I loved the ambiance of the Estancia. It was beautifully appointed, quiet, and very restful. The staff was kind and considerate. We were in desperate need of a good night's sleep and the beds were very comfortable and the rooms just the right size with wonderful bathrooms. I would stay here while visiting our son at UCSD every time. We've stayed at several other places but have not felt so relaxed as here at Estancia.

Estancia was a great get-away~~the pool, the Spa and it's most accomodating service and services, the Wine Bar and the Burros and Mustangs made the stay easy and comfortable.The grounds and the landscaping are gorgeous.

Great hotel if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Very beautiful spot with immaculate landscaping.
“Relaxing”
The wife and I needed a weekend away from the kids. Estancia delivers!! It's so quiet, and peaceful. Don't miss the band outside under the stars. We'll be back for sure.
“Nice Room, Beautiful Gardens”
The hotel itself is very nice, with beautiful gardens all around. The room itself was comfortable and clean. One hesitation about going there again: everything is down, so allergy alert! Also, there is only valet parking which is expensive and means you have to wait for your car (although not long). I felt a bit trapped. I would recommend this hotel if you really meant to make a vacation of it there. The Thanksgiving dinner was bland, overcooked and overpriced. The halibut (next day) was exceptionally good. We enjoyed our stay overall.
“Absolutely relaxing”
The hotel landscaping and courtyards made the hotel, absoultely tropical. Very well kept and clean. We had an issue with the first room they gave us, but they took care of it right away. The only draw back was the $25.00 mandatory for valet parking which is listed in accomidations and and amenities. It would be unfortunate for a family to say not realizing the extra fee until they are they. It would seem appropriate that if expedia continues to have specials on Estancia that the extra charge of $25.00 daily parking fee is exposed not hidden. Other that that is was great!!
