“As always very satisfied!”

The Manager's reception was great as always. The breakfast was also everything that was promised. The Koi were very peaceful.

“Great value and ammenities”

Hard to beat this hotel for the price and range of services (pool, exercise room, breakfast, big rooms and nice public spaces). Staff was very helpful and even provided a shuttle for our group to get to a local meeting. We have stayed in a range of places in La Jolla and this is at or tied for first place.

“Super Nice stay with my wife and 2 kids.”

Indoor pool was great. It was heated and clean. Complimentary breakfast was really good. Room was clean and comfortable. Love the neighborhood.

“Nice Hotel --- PRICEY extra's (Parking, Internet)”

The hotel itself is in very good condition and the rooms were clean and very comfortable, with the exception of the pullout couch mattress --- our 22 year old son had to endure two nights on it! :-( The breakfast is fantastic and is one of the main reasons we booked here --- we weren't disappointed! Negatives to this hotel, though, are the ridiculous Parking & Internet fees. NOT WORTH IT & we will probably stay somewhere else because of it!

Area recommendations

Definitely go biking & kayaking in La Jolla! We also went on a dinner cruise on the Hornblower --- AMAZING --- live music, great food, and beautiful surroundings! Gaslamp district is fun for dinner --- we ate at Croce's and it was delicious --- HIGHLY recommend.

“It's o.k.”

Check-in was fast. Rooms were just the standard Embassy Suites---good for business trips. The breakfast was a bit confusing---I walked in and didn't see anyone seating me. I wandered around and finally realized that I should just grab my own food and seat myself. Wish they could at least put a sign there or have someone telling the guests as they walk in. OH, the parking lot was scary! If you go to the 2nd floor/3rd floor, there is NO WAY OUT! The only way out is to do a u-turn and come down the WRONG WAY!! So if you park in their parking lot, park on the 1st floor because that is the only floor that's 2-way! The car in front of me did the quick u-turn and we have to come down the wrong way on the 1-way driveway praying we didn't have another car coming up! Scary!!

“Nice, but skip breakfast.”

As usual, this Embassy Suites was a great hotel like most other Embassy Suites. The free breakfast, however, left a bit to be desired. Selection was okay, but everything was cooled down to begin with and by the time you were able to sit down at a table, it was down right cold. Other than that, pretty much loved our stay.

Area recommendations

I would recommend staying in downtown LaJolla where you would be closer to boutique shopping, restaurants and the beach.

“Nice place to stay.”

Nice, comfortable, clean hotel conveniently located in La Jolla and across the street from University Towne Center outdoor mall. We had a room by the elevators which was noisy if in the front room but we did not hear anything in the bedroom and it quiet down around 9 or 10pm.

“Good location in La Jolla, close to San Diego”

Great hotel as all Embassy Suite, but $20 daily fee for parking, and $10 daily fee for internet which is usually free everywhere. Rooms were slightly smaller than typical Embassy as the refrigerator and microwave were in a closet in the livingroom.

“Looking foward to our next visit.”

We had to have maintenance on our bathroom drain & they sent someone up right away. It didn't take long to fix. Made to order breakfast was great to go down stairs to eat, but it was also nice that due to I was on bed rest that my husband was able to bring me breakfast. I love how our room was. It didn't feel like a Hotel it felt more like cute little apartments. Everyone was great. Like how they have the parking. Overall it was a great stay & it's worth going back to visit soon.

“Good but could be MUCH better.”

First, the parking. $20 really? I'm already paying a lot per night. Second, no Wi-Fi. REally? even Greyhound has Wi-Fi!!!!!!!!!!!!! otherwise theres a fee for every 24 hrs. THird, The room LOOKED clean, but there were crumbs once we pulled out the sofa bed, and splattered stains on the doors. Housekeeping just needs to make sure they wipe EVERYTHING down! Even doors and door knobs!. Fourth, Room service was awful. I called for more blankets, waited for 30 minutes. Called again, was put on hold for 5 minutes. Called again... finally got more blankets and towels almost an hour later!!!!!!!!!! The breakfast is great though. So we figured that what we saved on breakfast we paid for the hotel room. Standing in line for a bit isn't so bad. They make your eggs however you want them, or there's a buffet set up if you don't want to wait. The reception with free drinks was good as well! It was nice to unwind.
