“Econolodge”
Functional and convenient.
“being remodeled”
The staff was helpful and friendly, the location was easy to find, but the place is being remodeled and will be nice, hopfully, when they are done. The free breakfast area is small and food basic, but for the price not bad. The restrant next door has good food 7am to 9pm if you need more food without driving. This is a good budget place to stay.
“Woops!!!!”
I would say as long as you have at least one buddy you're safe. The staff were very nice but everything else about the hotel was scary! We had a hole in our wall!
“skip it”
the hotel is hard to find at other part of town, walls are paper thin, the people who live at hotel at 230 in am like to play music and yell, not worth the price, the toilet leaked and they already new about it still gave us the room, beds are old clean carpet though
“Off to a rough start but ended great. Also close to Wild Animal Park.”
Did not know what to expect but we arrived Friday evening and check in was extremely easy. Got a room on the 1st floor which was helpful so we would not have to carry our luggage & kids upstairs. Room was seemed fine @ first but then we realized the AC was not working. Went to the front desk & they had no other rooms & could not do anything for the night. Tried to find a fan but that did not happen. It was cooler outside than in our room, very uncomfortable with kids and a bad start to the weekend. We got brave & opened the window to get fresh air & survived thru the night. Front desk said they would get it repaired the next day after I let them know I perferred not to move our stuff because we would have had to have taken it with us to the Wild Animal Park & that would have been inconvenient. The hotel is close to major stores and resturants w/in 5min..also close to WAP. When we returned to our room after a hot day @ WAP, our AC worked...Thank Goodness. It made everything better :) Just wish they would have checked the AC beforehand. We enjoyed the pool and liked the fact that there was a laundry unit so we could dry our clothes. Went to dinner @ the Diner next to us & the food was great! Very convenient. Rooms have a microwave & refrigerator so that is a plus when traveling with kids. Only advice is to check your appliances (AC, frig, micro) before you get settled into a room.
“Its a bed”
A bed to sleep for cheap can't be mad.
“Good for the price”
Good for the price, receptionist was nice, room looked clean, bed is not too comfortable, some lights were out in the room and a lot of noise from outside. It was suitable and affordable for the purpose of sleeping for night before the Wild Animal Park which is super close and easy to get to. :)
“I'll be back in June!”
The hotel was more than your basic room with a bed and restroom. The staff lady was very nice and accommodating. The room was clean and fresh. The pool and spa was available heated and clean. The restaurants on either side the hotel were nice and the food at the Mexican restaurant was tremendous. I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing a clean affordable place to stay. It is in a decent area of town and close to the freeway. I will be back in June!
“Econo Lodge in Escondido, CA”
Our hotel room was so clean!! I couldn't have done a better job myself. The furniture in room was old...but the bed felt great. It had a full sized refrigerator and a small stove, which I wasn't expecting. I would stay here again just because of how clean the room was. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with directions.
“Won't go back”
RFeallyu run down site and rooms. Also noisy.
