“Del Mar DoubleTree - ECR”

An off the tourist trail hotel in north county. Near both the 56 and the 5, but sound-proofed. You can expect, as we did, to share hotel on summer weekends with horse people and other non-tourists. Nice bar, great pool under the palms - with high walls to keep the traffic noises away. Didn't like the pocket door on bathroom; other than that room was clean & comfortable.

“Peacefulll”

Stayed there for two nights. It was in a very nice area and close to sea world which i was there for. The time i spent in the hotel was very nice and the staff was nice as well. Went to dinner there the first night and there was nothing on the menu me or my wife liked and the waitress could tell right away and offered us some just normal cheeseburgers which was very nice!! would recommend to stay there any time

“Only one drawback.”

The hotel is beautiful and the restaurant/bar is great! Had one of the best salads ever with pasta, greens, chicken, edamame, etc. It had a great orange dressing which I would love to have the recipe for. The only drawback we felt, which is an important one, was the comfort of the bed. It was much too hard! I only slept a couple of hours each night we were there. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

“Nice room”

Rooms were nice, hotel was nice. Plenty of parking. There were 500 pillows on the bed and none were firm! The bed was comfy though . The shower pressure was amazing. The tv had crappy quality but it was LCD so it was cool. Hallways a bit noisy and no fridgein room! overall nice hotel and would definitely stay again, but I'm bringing my own pillow.

“Very nice hotel”

This hotel was really nice. It was only about 12-14 miles from the Zoo and Sea World. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and the rooms clean and comfortable. My ONLY complaint was that there was no mini fridge. This was particularly important to me since I was travelling with a 4-year-old.

“Great hotel - No Free WiFi”

Great location, very convenient. My only gripe is that complimentary wireless internet access is listed as an amenity but in reality it is 9.99 per night.
