“A location to die for!”

Our stay a gift from my husband for my 70th birthday. What a wonderful surprise. Arrived and offered a free upgrade with a partial view of the ocean. Very nice room obviously recently updated. The hotel location is wonderful right on the beach steps from the ocean. They have a lovely glassed in patio at the west end where we enjoyed coffee in the morning. In the afternoon enjoyed the sunset with a glass of Proseco. There is also a similar but larger patio running along the north side of the hotel to the beach where families were BBQing and enjoying the evening. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. We are definitely returning soon.

Great location on the beach, not a top notch motel by any means, but will do if you want the location. Recommend eating at Jakes a walk away, and drinking and dancing at Jimmie-O's in downtown Del Mar.

“On the beach”

This motel is right on the beach and within walking distance to everything in town - shopping, restaurants, library . Two great restaurants are right next door. Our only negative would be the comfort of the bed. We were in a king room and the bed was actually slanted. Our room was very clean and the outside shower was great, as we could clean off the beach sand before getting back to the room.

“Best beach location in San Diego County”

This is not a fancy motel. It is the perfect family motel on the beach. You are on the sand!! It has a nice patio area to sit in and BarBQ. There are two restaurants next door and it is an easy walk up town to Del Mar. There is a small refrigerator in each room and some rooms have micro-waves so you can do some meals for the kids. You are less than 1 mile from Del Mar Racetrack which is alot of fun too. It is an expensive motel but your location is worth it. The kids love the place they are in the ocean at 8 am.

“Love this place, perfect get-a-way, no vehicle needed!”

Not a 4 or 5 star, but perfect if you want a cool, comfortable place to walk right out of the water to! If you love to walk, surf, and/or do anything at the beach, this place is great. Parking is free (if you even come with a car), great small outdoor area for guests beach front w/privacy glass, nice table & chairs, private outdoor shower for guests to clean off sand, and even area to grill and eat outside if you wanted. Best part, you can get up after dinner and run right straight out back in to the water for some evening surf! I would definitely go back!
