“California Trip Satisfied”
Red Lion San Diego California Trip Satisfied.

Good central location - easy access to freeway and to sea world, downtown, harbor, and zoo.
“Very relaxing enviroment”
Spacious rooms, lush gardens, close to everything. The hotel is alittle older but well decorated and very clean. I will definitely stay here again.
“A Polynesian Oasis in Mission Valley, San Diego”
This was our first trip to San Diego and our first impression was this hotel. What an impression it made! The hotel is beautiful, well laid out, clean and comfortable. The bellmen were extremely polite, corteous and accommodating. They drove us into the Old Town and back EVERY day! The staff in the little gift shop are extremely nice and genuine. Bar & waiting staff are humorous and efficient. The food is wonderful and reasonably priced. The waterfalls and Koi Carp add a very nice touch. We'll definitely stay here again!
“Very Nice”
The only thing we would of liked was a continental breakfast. $16 for a breakfast buffet is ridiculous.
“Great Hotel, but Puzzled by Room Placement”
This hotel was an excellent value for the money. The only complaint I had was that I had booked two rooms there (since I have a large family), and the hotel did not put our 2 rooms adjacent to each other as I would have expected. In the hotel we stayed in earlier in Los Angeles, we were given adjacent rooms, with a connecting door that allowed us to go back and forth between each room.
“Was a perfect fit for what we needed”
Our son plays football for University of San Diego, we came down to watch his game. We travel with our small dog, The hotel was clean, and the staff very friendly & efficient. They gave us a room near the specific "dog run area" complete with a little white fence. Very nice. They did charge $75.00 for our dog, but was a well maintained, convient and spacious room for a night. We will be back.

“Family vacation”
My family and I traveled for a mini vacation to San Diego. I was very concerned that the Hotel would not be well kept or that I would be struggling to meet the needs of the kids. However, I was pleasantly surprised with all that was available. Pool, laundry facility, restaurants, coffee shop, and mini mart. The prices were very high but obviously this is done for hotel profit. All that said, it was a pleasant hotel, very good staff, friendly environment, family friendly, and everyone was very attentive.
“GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!!”
I just had one of the best mini vacations in San Diego and I have to say I couldnt have chosen a better hotel. The rooms are very clean, the staff is very nice, we had an issue with our remote control not working but the staff responded very quickly, we were lucky enough to get a room on the first floor facing the pool... they also have breakfast/brunch buffet which looked really good, unfortunately we were on a very tight schedule otherwise I would have been there... They do have a sushi restaurant which looked very appealing (unable to enjoy being that I am 7 1/2 months pregnant). The hotel offers shuttle service-very convenient, the mall is on within minutes and downtown is not more than 10 miles away.... definitely stay here again!!! The only bad thing is that the rooms do not have a small frig.... =(
