“Terrifc Staff Makes This Courtyard Special”

The Front Desk was staffed by Matt a very efficient, courteous and professional gentleman. He greeted me promptly and check-in was quick. Matt offered a basic review of the hotel's services and made me feel welcomed. The small bistro was staffed by a very friendly staff of servers/food preparers. Of note was the excellent service offered by Maxwell. The bistro offers an upscale "fast food" menu (complete with calorie counts posted) consisting of salads, flat bread (pizza) and burgers at night and a full breakfast menu with traditional menu items including eggs, french toast, cereal, fresh fruit and of course a full selection of coffees. The room was very clean and promptly made up each day with plenty of towels and complementary toiletries. Overall I would rate this hotel 4 out of 5 stars and will definitely stay there again if in the area.

This hotel is ideal for a visit to the area. It has easy access to the tourist attractions of San Diego, and yet it is in a far more peaceful climate than in the larger city.

“Nice find in Solana Beach”

We stayed in July 2010 before going to the Del Mar Racetrack. The location is perfect for taking Amtrack to Solana Beach, then a short walk or cab ride to the hotel. Good restaurant right next door. Recently renovated hotel had a designer-spiffy lobby, surprisingly quiet rooms for being near the railroad track, cofortable room, nice courtyard with pool, spa and restaurant. We want to go back.

“The room was huge!”

We picked this hotel to be near my daughter's home in Solana Beach at a nice price. We were amazed at the size of the room. It included a large bathroom, walk-in shower, tons of closet space and a walk-out patio door to the pool. The room and the lobby were spotless. Every morning there was a full breakfast buffet very reasonably priced. There was underground parking. My wife and I have stayed at other hotels in North County and this was clearly the best.

There was a bit of a problem getting us checked in, but otherwise everything was great. Wonderful room with a jacuzzi tub and walking distance to the Belly Up Tavern. Loved it!

“Would stay again.”

Pleasant stay, right by the beach. Train went by, but it was not a huge disturbance. Tons of places to eat, a favorite of ours is The Fish Market by the race track on Villa de Valle. The only real complaint I have is that the walls were a bit to thin. I could hear the people next door talking, that was annoying. Overall a nice comfortable place.

“A Nice Stay”

It's a pleasant hotel. There was a jacuzzi tub built into the bedroom so we could watch TV while soaking. The staff was helpful. The coffee in the lobby is really good.
