“Great hotel, quiet neighborhood, bringing my family back with me next time.”

Great hotel, older but well maintained. The front desk, restaurant and cleaning staff were all friendly and very helpful. Great neighborhood with a real quick walk to the beach and shopping.

Area recommendations

Any of the coastal cities were great to drive through and visit. Drive the coastal highway from San Diego to Newport Beach. You will love the ride, really enjoy it if you get a convertible like I did.

“A Nice Stay”

It's a pleasant hotel. There was a jacuzzi tub built into the bedroom so we could watch TV while soaking. The staff was helpful. The coffee in the lobby is really good.

“Dissatisfied”

For the price you pay you would expect to receive complementary breakfast but that was not the case here. Plus the TV channel selection was not very good, limited to one movie channel a few cable channels and a couple of local stations. If you wanted to view more it cost extra. There was a broken faucet handle which caused water to leak all over the sink when you turned it on and the shower curtain and safety handrail were moldy.

“Clean, comfortable and near the beach!”

This Marriott Courtyard is small but offers a good night's rest. For businessmen, I thought it to be ideal. Not too far from the airport, near the beach and the Del Mar Racetrack. I took in a summer concert at the track one night. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. There is a quiet little Starbucks cafe located in the courtyard and a nice little swimming pool. During my stay, San Diego had a major power outage and the staff went out of their way to help guests remain as comfortable as possible. No complaints from me and I would stay at this hotel again!

“Great Location”

Only spent one night in this hotel, and wasn't hanging out there at all, so can't really speak much to the service. The location is great, near the beach, racetrack and the 5. Room was clean and spacious with a balcony to enjoy the beautiful weather with my morning coffee. Gave the place a 4 on service cause I don't really know, and they do not have any kind of complimentary breakfast stuff.

Area recommendations

There are a lot of areas to recommend in San Diego area. I'd recommend almost anywhere on the water starting in Coronado and moving north.

“Great Price! Beautiful hotel!”

Although I only stayed one night, it was a gorgeous hotel! We took a short cab ride to get to the bars and dining areas which was not too bad. Only downfall would be the thin walls, I could hear our neighbor snoring in the next room.

“Overall satisfied”

Courtyard standards. Exceptional facts were the cafe (where you can get a good espresso drink in the morning and a light bite to eat), proximity to the 5 (highway), proximity to walking. Everything else was pretty much as you'd expect at Courtyard: clean, nice people working there.
